That's a great question 1stly. That State Park 🏞 fills up very quickly. Prob because the thumb 👍 is so much closer from the Metro area. First go to the State of Michigan website to see what's available. Their website is great. Then if they are filled up call to see if there is any cancelations. Good 🍀 Luck with getting a reservation. I love the thumb 👍 region of our Great State.
There are quite a few campgrounds around the tip of the thumb. Not all are State Parks. Hopefully, you can find a campsite. It's such a great area to visit!

They fill up fast. The earlier you book, the better the chance you will get a site.
Not sure but it's an amazing campground. However if you can't get a spot here I would HIGHLY recommend Wagener Park near Harbor Beach. It's beautiful, gorgeous, with lots of wonderful beach, walking trails, and only a short distance to several cool roadside parks, towns, & MORE!
