It's possible they have done the same I other rest areas that needed much repairs. As I understand they are working with underground pipes and that's why they have posted several months ahead. However if the job gets done before they usually open up. It really depends on how fast or how much work needs to be done.
That's the case with a lot of good rest stop the service to the public at a certain price is the reason why it is not open
Could be . some rest areas were closed because. They were no money.too take care of them.in 2010
