It's very cold water and I've only been there once so I don't even know if swimming is acceptable however I did see a few people in this one Beach area standing in the water
Not really. The water is about 56 reg F all year and being close to the Golden Gate is often windy and cold.
It has been a lot of sharks in the area lately so I wouldn't risk it.
