Fantastic views of the Golden Gate! It wasn’t too busy and had plenty of variety. I’m a photographer and hope to come again for engagement/family/couples photos!

This place is great! Right at the base of the golden gate bridge, there's a beautiful grass picnic area, gated access to the beach, and very clean! Plenty of free weekday parking and then just a buck an hour on the weekend. It's my dog's favorite place on earth so mine too!

Vow.. what a spot to see golden gate Bridge. Beautiful walking trial. We to bicycle for rent in sports basement and enjoyed the ride. Must place to visit if you are in SFO. Totally recommended place.

Chrissy Fields was cracking’ today! Nice Bay Area breeze to compliment the warm touch of the sun accompanied with the nice view of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Whether you’re walking your dog, having that first “getting to know you” conversation of a first date… this place seems to have been a location I always go to when I visit Sunny San Francisco.

You ll be able to smell the bathrooms from miles away. Disgusting.
There are picnic tables in a couple spots but they don't do reservations. Send someone early to set up so you get a couple tables near each other
I believe you need a permit: https://sfrecpark.org/permits-and-reservations/special-events/
Of course you can. Have a relaxing day.
It's first come first serve.
Yes swimming is allowed and, owing to it being a shallow cove the water remains relatively warm and wave-friendly. That is not to suggest that it is safe for bad/non swimmers, or that you wouldn't enjoy the experience ore if you wore a wetsuit (as, I'd say half of those I see braving the chilly water, do)
The park is always open. The warming hut (food, drink, gift shop) has limited hours.

Yes. There are dog and human showers in the middle of the parking lot next to the restrooms. Water is cold, but the showers are behind a concrete wall that shields from the north west wind.
