Homeowners do not own the airspace above their homes. That is the exclusive domain of the FAA to control. That being said, one should be careful to not cause a nuisance to the homes by flying too low, or taking too much interest at too close a range to any particular home. And one should be very careful about wind, and especially gusts, it can be very easy to fly too far in the direction the wind is going, and not be able to get the drone back flying against the wind. Muir Beach Overlook is very close to the Muir Beach homes. Please do not fly your drone over people's personal space. It's a huge issue in this area -- and the locals will let you know how they feel about your drone flying over there home.
