Hey Jennifer, we camped there for free. If you look up black balsam knob (beautiful area), there's lots of parking spots off the Parkway (Route 215) and the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can park and then camp for free as long as your campsite is 1000 feet off the road.

No there is no cost only at campgrounds and activities some of them may cost
