The drive through this National Forest is so beautiful. Cool rv parks and resorts tucked away along the side of the state route.

Still love it after all these years

The whole place is beautiful. If you sit on some of the peaks it's almost like you could go back in time and feel exactly what a Native American must have felt sitting in the same spot looking out.

Very Cold š„¶ But wonder views. Almost ran over a big bear crossing the road in the middle of the night. Please drive careful in this roads

You can camp pretty much anywhere you'd like. There are also designated campgrounds if you desire basic amenities. Please pack out what you pack in, make absolutely sure any campfire is dead out, and enjoy our beautiful mountains and forests.
My guess if weather stops being crazy , you be fine
The fire should have an information number you can call they would be able to tell you
Fire went right up through 23N07 where my mining claim is. Mostly it burned already burned areas. Your road is fine this time of year. Snow is for the most part melted off by now. 4x4 obviously is recommended.
I would check directly with Plumas National Forest. What may be safe today may not be safe next week. Right now the smoke is so bad, I would go into Oregon.
I think you can apply for the position it open to the public
About 3 1/2 hours to Truckee Ca with Plumas nearby.
Unfortunately I have not heard of that specific area. Have you tried Googling it or calling BLM.
