Some Random Climber

Mar 11, 2022

We went for a 4mile snowshoe up the Chaos Crags Trail. It had snowed 10" two days previous, but another hiker had broken trail for about half the distance. There is no significant avalanche danger along most of the trail until it nears the lake. Please check conditions before you go

Beautiful forest to hang out with friends and family. And alone as well. Camping locations are throughout the park and a few lakes.

A beautiful place to experience year-round. A place to find the biggest pinecones you’ll ever find in your life almost 2 feet long

Nice diverse National Park. Lakes, trees and geothermal pools. My husband's enjoyed the Bumpass Hell hike. Manzanita Lake, Reflection Pond and Lake Helen were pretty.

In the area between the northern Sierra Nevadas and the southern Cascade Mountains in Northern California around Lassen Volcanic National Park. This is in the mountains east of Redding California.

No not actually, not sure exactly where you park but when you get to the trailhead it's about a mile hike to the base of the cone and then you can make the grueling 700 foot climb to the cone, beautiful views of the other areas and mountains on the climb.
