Best time for crabbing is when there's little difference between high and low tide. The more difference there is between the tides the more current there is and the crabs don't really like it cuz they get pushed around too much. They'll end up burying themselves and sitting still.

You can get a tide book at the marina store, it will tell you when it is high and low tide for every day of the year
