Any hike that engages my two kids is definitely worth writing about. They loved the tour guide map and finding all of the points of interest. It was fairly easy to navigate, although there are A LOT of tree roots to walk on and over. We were able to do it successfully with flip flops on, however I wish I had worn shoes. This is a great spot for a family hike or if you need to waste an hour hanging out in an amazing forest.

Great time with the family learning about the cause and effect of nature.

It was on this trail I seriously began to consider: whenever I walk on the forest trail, and it feels spongy underneath, and there are a bunch of pine needles under there, and it's mossy on the spongy part -- would that sponginess be an absolute indicator that there is a network of mycelia under foot? Or! Is that sponginess an absolute indicator that wood &/or pine needles are breaking down underneath, instead? What a fiiiine trail!

Lovely little park hike, not too hard and less muddy than other trails we tried that day. Definitely appreciated the frequent benches!!! Was a nice surprise when trying to find something not too challenging. I recommend taking the loop path clockwise, it would have been much harder the other direction
