We went there when it was freezing and out of season, but still a good place to relax. What can I tell you about state parks and the workers who maintain them? I have nothing but respect and reverence for the workers and the places they maintain, for us! Paths are well maintained, and easy for my aging and out-of-shape body to navigate. Just a lovely little spot, will definitely be back here in the season. Probably a good place to watch king tides.

Even while flooded, it was a beautiful area. Amazing views, beautiful forested area and clean crisp air whilst walking along the beach here. Nice open spaces and well defined walking trails throughout. The lighthouse, fishermen memorial and viewpoint here were all fantastic as well.

Featuring a panoramic view of the Siletz Bay and the Pacific Ocean, you'll find plenty of parking and picnic areas, maps, walking trails and beach access, a restroom, and the lighthouse which will eventually open again and allow visitors to hike the steep stairs 93 feet to the top.

Nice hike down to the ocean. Low tide made it about a 1/4 mile trip. Nice facilities available. Plenty of parking too.

Summer hours are 11am to 4pm for the lighthouse itself.
This park does not have camping 🏕️ but there is a nearby state campground named South Beach where you can stay up to a week.
It is the only way I can explain their behaviour. When I walk out of the door to feed them there are frequently only one or two in sight. Within a minute there will be twenty or thirty begging for food. I will hear them calling out as they come in, so I am sure that they are communicating. They also seem to have very good eyesight.
