Clearwater Restaurant is The VERY BEST food, while visiting Newport, OR. We had crab cakes that were perfect, some of the best Calamari I’ve tasted in a while, and the catch of the day was perfect! The atmosphere was nice and all of the staff was very friendly. The only issue we had was that our waitress never checked on us and I had to get her attention every time I needed something. Hopefully this issue was an isolated event. Overall this place was amazing and a “must eat” if you’re visiting Newport, OR.

Great food. Great service. Great view. Variety of craft beers available. Excellent Crab Cakes with a jalapeno-sweet pickle garnish. Breading was light and crispy on the outside. Lots of crab, not breading, on the inside. Seafood pasta with bacon was excellent. Loaded with seafood. Perfectly cooked Ling Cod with tender gnocchi (the way it should be made) in a light lemon sauce. Server Rob was generous with his time and recommendations. Seating designed to offer a view of the water and the water critters. It was entertaining watching the crab catching and sea lions sunning from the dock.

Fabulous seafood! Great location right on the water with outdoor water front seating - You can watch the Sealions while you eat! Our server was Matthew and he was informative, fast and delightful. We ate with friends and we all tried a bit off each plate and there wasn't a single thing that wasn't cooked to perfection that we didn't love. We will definitely visit again when we return to Newport!

Great view, atmosphere, food, & drinks! Definitely more pricey than my other favorite places in the area but I would go back for special occasions. We celebrated my mom's bithday & the staff was great with our group. Our meals were fantastic. I had the Coconut Curry Seafood Stew. My mom has a gluten free diet & she was able to try their seafood pasta with gluten free noodles. Kids portions were big & they were happy, too.
