My family and I stayed in beach house #116 & we had the most wonderful time. My family and I loved the Privacy that we experienced by staying in a private beach house and the staff at the whaler were absolutely fantastic. Everyone my family and I spoke to on the staff was incredibly kind, courteous and Incredibly intelligent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The private beach houses are very fairly priced, they have everything you need in the house and if they don't, they have it at the front desk and they are very accommodating. The pool was very clean as well as the hot tub. My family and I will definitely be coming back every time we come to Newport that is where we will be staying. The beach house was what some would call slightly dated but I have to be honest, my family and I thought it was beautiful. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooms are a very nice size and there's even room for a roll away in the living room if you have other guests. They're honestly Aren't Enough good things I can say about the whaler or their staff. What a wonderful experience.

The room was great, beautiful views and clean! Melissa at the front desk was the icing on the cake though; her presence definitely made our stay fantastic!!! Superb customer service and phenomenal human! Can't wait to come back for girls weekend!

We visited Newport last year in March and decided to book our stay at the Whaler. We LOVED staying at the Whaler. The rooms were clean with a ocean view and the staff was so helpful and attentive to any needs we had. The pool and hot tub was our kids favorite part of our trip. Beach access is only a couple minute walk from the hotel. We recommended the Whaler to our family and friends. My parents even decided to stay a month later at the Whaler because of our recommendation and enjoyed their stay too. This year for Spring Break we are deciding to go back and book our lodging at the Whaler again. I would give 10 stars if I could and the you can't beat the price.

The rooms were spic and span clean. The balconies have fantastic views. And Soon, at the front deck, was amazing! She gave the best customer service ever. She was friendly, and it was easy to check in. She even called us later to make sure we had everything we needed. We'll be back!

Questions & Answers

Is the Whaler pet friendly?

The room we are currently in is a non-pet room. I'm sure they have specific rooms for pet owners as to reduce allergens for the general public because we've seen a few pups on the campus.
