I have a 1987 Shorelander boat trailer and the license plate tags show 2003. I was wondering how much it's going to cost now for new tags. Is there a limit that DMV can charge me?

The above answer is correct. However, for future reference, if the tags are expired AFTER 2010 there is just a $10 max late fee.

$25/month past expiration, and a limit of $100 fee for expired plates. According to the dmv.gov website
