Positive: The location of the hotel was perfect for our destination. The lobby appearance was clean, up to date; very different from the cleanliness of the rooms. Checkout attendant was delightful. Negative: Room, by the smell of it, was clearly not nonsmoking room. Debris all over the laminate flooring. Bathroom walls had dark runs all the way down them. Night stand was falling apart. Ceiling paint peels. Nothing like online pics.

Suffice it to say, we didn't shower during our stay here. (This was not at all new damage, did the hotel staff just not see it?) The photo was of the bathroom ceiling. The bed was nicely made but the whole room wanted a deep cleaning. That being said my wife and I really wanted to like this hotel and we appreciated that they had a room last minute for us on a holiday weekend. The breakfast was nice and the folks at the front desk were very nice. There was a large group of guests near the pool drinking and having a great time well into the night right outside our window. They did quiet down, but I think the hotel staff had to tell them more than once. This hotel works if you have no other choice, but next time we are in the area we will look elsewhere.

Positive: Although the hotel is difficult to enter from the street going in one direction, it was very nice. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was appreciated. Good value for the money spent. Negative: We had a handicapped room. The sink faucet had to be pulled up and turned, not handicap friendly. The sink outlet was missing a cover plate. The lamp on the left side of the bed didn't work, was not plugged in. I reported this to the desk staff.

Thank God I'm used to cleaning a room before using anything in it!!! This is usually done for my own reassurance but not in this case! The bathtub/shower was dirty. Sink was dirty. Fridge made horrible sound and it too was dirty on the inside. I didn't clean that because I decided not to use it because of the sound it was making. Tried to go get the free breakfast this morning - unkept area, no hot food left. Asked the guy at the desk about it and he said it's gone and we are about to take down the service so we don't clean up til then. Literally left at 10am was 2 bagels and a basket of apples. Service is until 10:30am!!! The hotel is NOT worth the price they are charging. The rooms are accessible outside and furniture is older than me!!! I was born in the 80s......don't stay here unless you absolutely have to - like I did :(
