This is a really cool venue that used to be school. Great sound, and the two shows I went to were half seated, half standing. What really sets this venue apart from all others is they are paving the way in venue sustainability-- all drinks are served in metal cups, which are returned to a bus bin when you exit the show, saving thousands of plastic cups from the landfill.

Excellent venue. Not a bad seat ( view wise, the physical seats are ancient uncomfortable and rickety), good acoustics, good pa system, lighting etc. We did not have the op to tailgate at one of the on-site bars or restaurants and the roof deck was closed... but the venue strongly contributed to one of the better concerts that I've ever attended in my life... Awesome venue being in an old school. The sound and lights were so good! Saw a great show. I really liked being in the auditorium.

Awesome place to see a show I’m SE Portland, Oregon! I won tickets to see Cowboy Junkies recently and it was an amazing experience, even with this global pandemic going on. The building is an old high school and it shows :) they left the lockers and layout preserved so you feel like you’re at the most BADASS assembly of all time lol 😆 If you have the chance or a band is booked you would enjoy seeing I highly recommend it! Great bar with food & drinks too!

There is both main floor and balcony seating, but in my opinion the main floor is worthless. The stand up area in front of the stage forces people in most seats to also stand if they want to actually see the show. Started up front, but quickly moved to balcony, went straight there the second time.
On their website: "PARKING & PUBLIC TRANSIT We have a parking lot South of the building and parking is $5 per space on nights of shows. Please pay with attendant. PUBLIC PARKING IS VERY LIMITED. Please bike or use public transportation to get to Revolution Hall. We are within ONE BLOCK of TriMet bus lines 70 & 15, and 5 blocks from lines 12, 29, and 20. If you must drive, PLEASE PARK TO THE WEST (toward the river / industrial areas), and not in the neighborhoods, which have no parking and are very sensitive to noise" https://www.revolutionhall.com/venue-information/parking-public-transit/
Yes, there are stairs, but there's also access for those with disabilities. Any venue anywhere will have disabled access, it's a federal law to provide it. There are no super sized seats to my knowledge. I don't believe accommodation for people who can't fit in a normal sized seat is part of the law.
Its a pretty large venue and if your friend isn't reasonably famous or known, it seems you'd have to go through a booking agent for the hall. But it is a great venue! Good luck.
To the best of my recollection, there is a coat check. I believe that they charge to use it, though.

If it's a show for kids, sure. But may not be an appropriate venue if it's not.
Check the website.
It use yo be washington High School in the Portland Public Schools!
It is not, open seasonally April-October weather dependent.
I would say out of courtesy to the performer and people around you being quiet is the way to go. It's rude to call out songs you'd like to hear. People go to listen to music and it's annoying to have the person next to you screaming to the performer.
Yes. You can bring drinks from the rooftop bar into the auditorium also.
Yes. Nostrana is a good place to go after grabbing drinks on the rooftop if you are looking for something that is currently on Eater 38 Portland.
My guess is that it does include the floor seats. Note that the first few rows of floor seats have blocked views when the standing section is full.
Many different concerts at many different times! Its a venue.
It means your ticket still be waiting for you at the venue rather than being mailed to you or you printing it out
There's no coat check or bag check that i know of.
There is very limited parking in the lot for $5 but it doesn't open until 6pm. The blocks immediately surrounding have a 90min limit. Below 12th st is on street parking without a time limit.
Some shows have an under 18 section. Depends on the show.
Yes they have a restaurant in the main level when you walk in and a bar.
