The hike is great but the road leading to the trailhead is TERRIBLE. I mean TERRIBLE. 6.5 miles of rocks and dirt. You need a proper 4WD with high ground clearance to get to the trailhead. But the hike is easy/moderate and the views from the top is SPECTACULAR.

About half as hard as Mt Si. Plenty of gorgeous views and camping allowed! Amazing spit for campin.....but definitely have something with 4 wheel drive or hike a few miles to get to the trailhead.

One of the most tranquil places I have visited. And a perfect spot for pitching a tent and having a relaxing night by the lake. The hike up the trail to the mountain top is a must, to take in the amazing, majestic view of Rainier. There are dome camping spots at the top of the mountain too but being forst come first served, it's a hit or a miss 5o be able to bag one of these spots, but worth the try!
Hello Juneau (運命)
Just beautiful! Highly recommend- dogs are allowed on the trail. Rough road going up and back down to the trailhead once you cross a bridge over a dry riverbed. Though I saw a sedan or two so just fine, just a warning. Don’t stop at the lake, keep hiking to the right through the trees and it’ll take you to the top of the lake with a pretty overlook of Mt Rainier and Summit. My dog and I had it to ourselves. Early is best to avoid people. @hello_juneau IG

Just under 3 miles from trailhead to lake. Elevation gain just over 1400 feet.
There are campsites. No campfires allowed
We had an outback, so similar clearance, it was very rough but doable, took us about half and hour to go 6 miles so as to not pop a tire or damage undercarriage.
