Well-maintained trail. Good views. All skill levels can hike.

Saddle Rock Trailhead by Appleatchee Riders by far gets the most use by hikers who take on the short, but steep 900 feet of grade to the premier rock formation by Wenatchee. Saddle Rock Gateway Parking handles way more cars than it used to, but still overflows on nice weekends. From this TH you can take the direct approach up an old jeep track, or a more indirect route that swings around the east face. Views up top are world class and worth the effort. A few pines add to the summit experience. You can also come up the north side from the less busy Jacobson Preserve by the athletic club. There are several other trails that branch off to other ravines and ridges, all worth exploring for longer hikes.

We have hiked this trail many times. This last weekend we enjoyed warm weather with a cool breeze, talk about perfection! The views from the top are gorgeous, it’s such a rewarding climb. Straight up on an incline, rough on the knees coming back down. Just take your time and BRING WATER! Great workout with a beautiful view. My family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids 6/8yo) hiked the entire thing in 1 hour and 10 minutes. We did NOT take any side trails and stayed on the main trail to preserve the natural habitat. Dog friendly, wear appropriate shoes for when you get to the top it’s rocky in the area where the saddle rock is. Continue on past that area for a great viewing area with benches and safer photo opp areas.

This was a beautiful hiking trail! Very well maintained. Definitely steep, so if you’re an inexperienced hiker like myself, you’ll have to take it slow. It’s worth it for the views!

I think so 🤔
It's 920 ft to the Saddle. You can hike another mile or two back to two other high points and gain another 1000ft of elevation over the two miles before you hit private property
Yes it is if there is enough snow. Go and check it out some years are better than others. This year might not be since we haven't had much snow
Yep, found out myself..still nice hike
