The line is getting long again but it's not as bad as last year. It moves faster when the old guy that is security isn't working. They havent had as many machines broken down as before. That is the main reason the line is moving faster than last year.

I am VERY unimpressed with the general operation. While on the specific day I visited the line was mercifully short, I have driven by it every few days, for well over a year. The line is usually quite long. These facilities are for the convenience of the stores, so they don't have to redeem bottles. Long lines are a violation of the people they ostensibly serve. They should double the capacity at this location. Months later, I suggested to them that they install a webcam to view the line outside, to alert people how much delay is going on at any particular time.

New staff and security so better now... 3-2022 This is by far the worst place I've ever been when it comes to any kind of customer service. The employees are rude they all act like they hate their job! Security is some of the most unprofessional rudest I've ever come across. Many times there are machines that are not in order and they like to start shutting down anywhere from 10ñh?mr minutes to 45 minutes before business hours are done. This place needs a whole new crew of better attitude employees along with more experienced professional security.

First time visiting a center like this as I was wanting to get rid of a pile that'd built up at the house. The process was more than a little murky and I ran into issues. The staff was very friendly and eager to help and they were constantly milling around offering assistance, giving directions and cleaning. While it took a bit longer than expected, overall a positive experience.

I suggest that you park farther away from the Bottle Drop front door like maybe in the Lowes parking lot area more, then load recycling into a shopping cart and push then to the return line. If they make like to make unfair rules skate around them. Think smarter. This suggestion of parking placement is in reference to the Delta Park - Bottle Drop location. If you go to a different location use the same concept, theres more than likly will not have a Lowes so park somewhere else away from the front doors of the Bottle Drop. Happy Recycling. Post script: If you dont want to turn them in or deal with all the rules the number of homeless is countless in the area. I'm sure plenty of them would gladly accept your donation in either Janzen Beach or Delta Park areas it would make there day.
If I live in Washington and go to Portland and purchase soda and pay a deposit.... that would be fraud to not redeem my deposit . You are getting money back that you have already paid. Hence, why it's called a deposit. The 10 cent deposit is to encourage people to recycle. Asking for ID and receipts is ridiculous.
just google, OREGON BOTTLE BILL
I dont believe it's a law, but you will not be allowed to return your bottles and asked to leave the property. If you refuse and try to return your bottles anyways, that's when they call the police and get you with a trespassing charge. And maybe even a charge for trying to return bottles that have not had a deposit paid on them as they automatically assume if you dont have Oregon ID you obviously never shop in Oregon whatsoever and are just a faulty individual. Cant really blame them though, that's the type of people they deal with on a daily basis.
They are checking to make sure you are an Oregon resident and not from Washington.
And the security people look like former hostess employees who were fired for "grazing"...
I believe its 350 per person at one time. I woul guess the machine would stop at 350 and print a receipt for 35.00.
Assuming you have run your containers through the machine and received a ticket from the machine, yes you can take it to the payment machine, scan it, and it will pay the amount the voucher is for.
Yes, they take glass, aluminum and plastic all in the same machine.
I've never had to provide proof of purchase when going there! however they seem to change their rules whenever they feel like it.
Washington actually does recycle the cans and bottles they just don't give money for them
0nly if you purchased them IN Oregon. It behooves you to keep your purchase receipts to show. Generally, security will ask for ID and attempt to turn you away iF they see out of state tags on your vehicle.
Kill em with kindness!!
Idk, patrick has torrets i think
I'm not sure why or what happened, but nobody has the right to be rude to anybody!
I would like to answer that but honestly I do not know because I do not use the green bags sorry
Last time I was there it wasn't but I usually go inside the store so I'm not certain
Actually if your car has out of state plates they will ask you for I'd . So if that's the case don't park in front of bottle drop
You can drop off fifteen bags per calendar quarter. April first is the beginning of the second quarter
They have the carts there for putting your bottles in like all bottle drops. No shopping cart allowed in the place. Baby carts are allowed inside I was told.
You need to contact the bottle drop from your account online they will credit your account for how many bags you turned in
Yes
Did you get an opportunity to show them the Oregon ID?
Because the return rate is different.
Are you in washington??
Normally no, if you are going to run the bottles through the machine the bar code needs to be readable and that would be most convenient for you. Bottles rejected can be taken to the counter where an attendent will either give you credit for or reject them. Usually takes a while depending on how many and the line length.
If you are referring to dropping off bags for them to enter on your account and also cashing out other containers through the machines. The answer is yes.
Least busy would probably be morning. Take the yellow line to the kenton station and wall down the bridge. Turn right at the signal and left on the next road. Continue as if you are going to Lowe's or the DMV.
you open an account and you get your green bags which cost. $2.00 for a roll and there are 10 bags on the roll. When you open your acct. you get a key chain card and a card for your wallet. when you fill up 2 bags or 1 and want to drop them off then take them down to the bottle drop and swipe your card or key card that you were given. That will open the drop off door and you put your bags in and shut the door. I always count my cans/ bottles when I put them in my green bags so I kind of know how much is in there. there is a .35 charge a bag for them to process and you r your cans and put it on your acct. so I subtract that and that's what should be deposited on your acct. which you have access to online. if you don't see that there were the amount of bags that were counted and put into your acct. then go in and let them know and they will take care of it by crediting your acct. they are really good about it to. I have had to do it a couple of times.
350 per person per day
Nope
Yes. This location is open from 7am-7pm daily, including Sundays.
Nope. Only recyclable cans and bottles. And they had better be from Oregon or they will kick you out and yell at you.
No, the machines and employees need to see the UPC and label.
The items are counted
If you are recycling cans by the pound it takes 16 12oz cans to make one pound. Any can without a deposit should be crushed and saved til you have enough to make the trip to the scrap yard worth it.
They want a receipt for Oregon purchases.
No but only containers purchased in Oregon can be legally redeemed for their deposit.
