How do I contact the Office and explain the situation of emergency? Can some please let me know who should I correspond with or talk to? Looking forward to hearing back.

I came to make a donation on behalf of my employer. They do such an incredible job helping folks who are experiencing homelessness while resting small children. I wish there were more places like this. Thank you to all the staff who give their best every day to those who need it the most!

A comprehensive shelter for families with children that focuses on self improvement. Great program that changes lives and teaches valuable life skills including healthy boundaries/relationships, budgeting and parenting skills. It is heavily Christian and like any other program, internal politics and favoritism can get in the way of the program's effectiveness.

I have volunteered here for many years. I serve as a receptionist, Golf to give committee & sell books on Amazon that are donated to MFH. This place is totally fantastic, they take homeless families and help them find a Job and their own place to live. They do this with an astonishing 75% success rate. Most important if all they don't take any government money.

can you get into the shelter if u have a old felony but don't have any now
My fathers house is a family shelter but not an emergency shelter. Meaning, it could take anywhere from a day to a couple of months to be accepted. They have really good programs however, they are not for everyone. You might want to contact 211 you have a baby...there are places that should take you immediately if its just you two. Everyone's experience varies. Some good some bad. There are those who are there as employees who are compassionate and want to see you leave successful. The experience as a resident would be entirely different from the experience of an employee. There was alot of favoritism, however the concern is for the needs of you and your child to be met in being housed. Prayer changes things. I pray for the best for you and your family.
You have to call them and ask
There is a car show in the parking lot every year. Someone must have tagged them as My Father's House.
Yes
We work with single parent and two- parent families with custody of atleast one child under the age of 18.
My Father's House is a family transitional housing program for homeless families with at least one child under 18. It is not a youth shelter.
Yes, our donation hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9-1pm. We will be closed for donations during the month of December. Thank you for thinking of us!
Thank you for thinking of us. We have been abundantly blessed with knit hats. At this time we are unable to accept any more. Snowcap may be able to take them. Thanks again!
If you are a single parents or couples with kids
I do not think you can but they will refer you too 211 or the orange resource book. Calling 211 is the best option!! Good luck
No, vehicle parking for residents only
My father's house on Powell their a family oriented shelter
I am not sure what you mean ?
If there are rooms available you need to do it through the intake line. Call 211 for that info.
This is a shelter for families only
I think so, if you give them a call they will give you all the info you need.
It is a family shelter for parents/parent with child/children only
Im not sure you have to call the number leave a message and wait for them to call you back and set up an interview!
A great place for you would be at Glendoveer Elderplace. I believe it is on 130th area on Glisan St.
Unfortunately my fathers house only helps family's with children.
Every situation is different, therefore, the staff's response will be accordingly. I would encourage you to call the intake line and leave your information for a call back. Everyone who is accepted has had a different response time. Tho they are not an emergency shelter, there have been families that has moved in their day of intake. Pray, God will guide your situation.
They actually do take bigger families. Just keep calling. They have to have two rooms available next to each other. Its rare but, could happen
