Every situation is different, therefore, the staff's response will be accordingly. I would encourage you to call the intake line and leave your information for a call back. Everyone who is accepted has had a different response time. Tho they are not an emergency shelter, there have been families that has moved in their day of intake. Pray, God will guide your situation.
I suggest calling them as well, however if you're looking for a quick fix your situation they are not the place. Human Solutions has a shelter that would be good for a situation like yours. But while you're there continue to call my father's house, it's was the best choice I made for me and my kids when we were in your same situation.
