I lived here in 2018 and eventually moved out. When leaving that first time there was a management change. Fast forward a couple years and I needed to move back downtown. Once I heard Robert was the manager it was a no brainer- I submitted an application as soon as I could. By the time I end up leaving here it’ll be a total of three years living at Skyline. That should say something. Pros: -Best bang for your buck downtown. -Units are quite big compared to other apartments within the downtown area. -Robert and his staff are always friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. Never a day where I went into the office and felt uncomfortable, or felt as if I was a burden. -Entire complex is safe and to get in you either need a fob key or code. -Great pool & Gym -The staff always have special social activities for residents. -A coffee shop located within the same building! -Right down the street from Roosevelt Row and ASU (UofA sucks). -Dog friendly Cons: -From time to time the elevator can be out of order, but the staff always act fast to get it up and running. -Carpets can get dirty really fast -it would be cool if the complex had a fenced dog area with real grass. Overall, great place to live. Happy I moved back in.

I have been here since 2009, and I posted a review before years ago. Again the problem is the same: dog pee on the property. Since my last review, they installed signs to curb dogs and rocks at certain area so that dogs do not walk. However, the signs are not working. I know only a few tenants do not care about clean property. I am hoping our managers would be more attentive and clean ASAP, which they did recently. I have a health clinic here, and there are a hair salon, an upcoming spa, and a tattoo shop, and I am sure they want a clean environment free from the smell of dog urine. If you have dogs and do not mind dog stains around the property, I recommend this apartment. The best about this apartment is their maintenance team. They respond fast and do the job right. Other thing you might want to consider is that there are two elevators, and if you want to live up high, the elevators breaks down once in a while (not often). Lastly, we have very good managers here. : )

DO NOT LIVE HERE! The level of incompetence shown by the management company is truly something special. We have lived in our apartment for approximately 23 months. During that time, the elevator has been breaking at least once a month for the entirety of our stay. At one point the elevator was down for over 2 months straight while they were performing maintenance. In typical Skyline fashion, the elevator was down again just 10 days after completing the maintenance. Of course we were still paying the overpriced rent in the full amount while walking up six flights of stairs every time we left the apartment. It is clear management does not care about the people who live here or this issue would have been resolved years ago. Unfortunately, the elevator is just one of many broken amenities around the property that management refuses to have fixed in a timely manner. The cardio equipment in the gym was out of service for months along with the parking garage gates. While the elevator and the gym equipments were severe inconveniences, the parking garage gate being left broken and wide open is a matter of safety for residents. With recent car break-ins in the downtown area, management left the gates to the garage wide open for months. It is truly a shame that a mid-rise in such a great city has become so frustrating to live in. If an elevator is important to you, this is not the place for you! UPDATE: It has been three weeks since my original 1 star review and the elevator just broke once again. These repairs didn't even last a month!

I've had a not so nice experience living here. I was really excited to move downtown and the building itself is very nice and I was in love with the concrete walls. Little did I know, there was going to be atrocious and loud construction from 6am until 5pm (working from home in the pandemic? not an option) as well as an unpleasant experience moving out. Obviously a 60 day notice is required to move out, which my roommate had completed. They asked me to confirm, and I did a few weeks later, but they insisted that my confirmation was the date of the 60 day notice. With this, I am required to pay much more rent than I anticipated and the office refused to help me with my special circumstance, being that my roommate is in a remote location in Alaska without access to WIFI and is unable to send me the unexpected extra money for the last month of rent. All in all, this place is too expensive for what its worth. The cabinets are very out of date, giving 2008 style, which is not my favorite (and shouldn't be yours if you're going to spend this amount of money). The leasing office staff are very pleasant and kind, however the manager was very unkind to me. When she interrupted me I asked her to let me speak. She replied along the lines of, "If you won't let ME speak, I will end this conversation," then stumbled into her repetitive line of refusing to understand my unique situation. I would suggest finding a different downtown apartment with updated cabinetry and appliances. Also, I was expected to move into a fulling carpeted living space and was told on move-in day that my living room had vinyl flooring, which was a shock to me and makes the apartment even less appealing. Attached are the photos of the unattractive cabinets and appliances.
