Very responsive staff. There's always someone to answer my questions, and everyone is courteous and compassionate, which is so important and often missing in the mental health field. My previous psychiatrist was nice, but did not take my insurance. This office does, and they're fantastic. Really happy with the care I'm receiving and happy I found them. Thank you.

Hi Carolyn, Yes we do.
Hi Leticia, There are both lifestyle and medication interventions that are important to utilize for long-term success in anxiety reduction. Exercise, good nutrition, and breathing techniques can be used (such as the 4-7-8 method). There are numerous medications that are effective for anxiety, which would best be discussed with a psychiatric provider after an evaluation. Hope that helps!
Hi Jody, Costs associated with psychiatric treatment vary greatly depending on if the psychiatric practice accepts your insurance. We do accept many insurances including Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, Fidelis, Healthfirst, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar, Medicare, and Humana. For out of pocket rates, please visit our site. The length of time someone should see a psychiatric provider depends on many factors, and is not generalizable. Hope that helps!
Hi Rosie, SSRI/SNRI medications are found to be helpful in depression and anxiety disorders and can often times treat both conditions effectively with one medication, making them a good first line option.
Hi Jody, we send you an intake form which is filled out online, and once completed, we call to schedule you an appointment with one of our practitioners. Your first appointment is a detailed initial evaluation to establish care for disorders such as ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, or any other mental health condition. Any other questions, let us know!
Hi Whitney, Anxiety Disorders are diagnosed based on DSM-V criteria, which do not use blood or lab tests. However, medical history and lab tests are discussed and taken into account to make sure that there is no underlying medical condition causing or contributing to anxiety. Medical history is also taken into account when prescribing certain medications, as to make sure they are safe and effective for the individual. Hope that helps!
The sooner you treat mental illness, in general, the easier it is to manage going forward. Mood disorders such as depression can wax and wane and can remit on it's own, so it depends on the syndrome as well.
Psychiatry practices vary greatly by cost, and depends if they accept insurance as well. At our practice, we accept most major health insurances. If paying out of pocket, initial sessions are $200 and follow ups are $145. Hope that helps!
