The team at Alder Creek Kayak is great to work with. I highly recommend their services. I purchased my first fishing kayak and could not have more pleased with the professional, informative, and responsive service I received. I made different trips to their shop and asked a lot of questions. Andrew, Meloy, and Ty were patient, friendly, and they all wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my purchases. They made sure I felt comfortable with the kayak, gear, and loading to get me started. I purchased my kayak on a Saturday and was on the water the next day. Thank you!
peace love
LARGER BODIES WELCOMED HERE!!! My husband and I are larger people and after years of wanting to kayak and being fearful of finding a boat that will work, I finally went to Alder Creek! Ethan was AWESOME and very considerate and knowledgeable. He showed us three different options, I sat in two and the third one was in box so he took out the chair, which is the hardest thing for me to fit into and then even CUSTOM cut a foam cushion at the store to make the seat comfortable!!! They priced matched the company's sale price and were super nice about! Customer service at it's finest!!! 90 day guarantee too. I will review the kayak after we get in the water. We ended up going with the Aqua glide Blackfoot 160. Thanks Ethan for your help!!!

Reserved online for SUP for George Rogers Park and was very easy to reserve and pay. The boards were older boards without any tethers or straps so wouldn't be able to strap anything down. The young teens who were manning the rental station were pleasant. The 'beach' is dirt not sand so be prepared for that.

My first experience with Alder Creek was fantastic! I purchased a kayak online from their Jantzen Beach location and when I picked it up, they were very helpful to get me get setup with a few other things I needed. The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly. Plus they seem to have an excellent selection of everything related to kayaking/ canoeing and, at least as of now (7/2/21), a good selection of kayaks to buy, used and new. They’re over an hour from where I live, but I will be back to get outfitted with gear from them as I need it. Thanks Alder Creek for being awesome 👏

There are print out paper maps of the immediate area available. There are also guide books for the Pacific Northwest, waterproof maps, and nautical charts available for purchase.
Jonna, The launch behind our shop is our own private dock, and it's not a ramp per say, rather a flight of stairs. But we do allow people to launch their own paddle craft. It's locked behind a gate outside of business hours however. We just ask that you stop in and fill out a waiver form and yield to our rental customers when the dock is crowded. The current can be a little swift in the spring, so you might want to give us a call before coming in and we'll let you know what the conditions look like. Thanks, Meloy
Everyone had a mask on, indoors and outdoors.
They have the kayaks at the dock and you just walk down there and get in the water.
They do consignment sales and I was able to talk them down a little on a consignment canoe. Not sure about trade.
I would call them and ask.
Yes we carry it, they should come in a couple weeks. It costs $799.
If under 18 years old, you need a parent or guardian's signature on the release form.
Yes, we usually do. Right now there is a Skylark and Whisper for sale used.
