Right off of 494, the freeway that circles 1/2 way around the Twin Cities on the edge of the seemingly endless Mall of America, the Comfort Inn is convenient and comfortable. Not only does it have clean and comfortable rooms, Its amenities include a lower price than the nearby Radisson, Holiday Inn and Hilton, a free hotel(mediocre) breakfast as well as an Outback Steakhouse on site. I commend the staff at the front desk for their courtesy and knowledge. The airport shuttle service is hourly with the exception of every 1/2 hour from 0630 to 0800. There is a nice pool and small gym on site as well. Freeway noise is unavoidable and the large open area with tables and chairs between the hotel rooms and the pool and breakfast area is comfortable appearing, but the cigarette smoke from that space, wafts into the lobby and into the elevators.

We had some canceled flights that required the airline to book us a room to catch our next leg to NYC. Gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional. To have almost an entire plane of guests arrive after midnight and to handle everyone alone, he did a great job. He had the forethought to ask us our next flight to ensure we had a spot reserved on their airport shuttle. Hotel itself was very standard and we were only there for a total of maybe 4 hours so can't say much else as we were just trying to get as much sleep as possible.

I booked through hotel tonight. Within a couple hours of my stay at comfort inn I found bed bugs and blood stains on the sheets from bed bugs. I immediately called the front desk, packed up my stuff and went down stairs to the lobby to have the issue resolved. The front desk employee offered me either another room (which I didn’t want since bed bugs can and will travel/ spread) or a full refund. I obviously asked for the refund. Even though it was almost midnight, I looked for other accommodations for the night. He said since I booked through hotel tonight all I’d have to do is give them a quick call and then they’d follow up with the rest to make sure I got my full refund. It’s now been a week and I haven’t been refunded and been denied a refund at all. I didn’t even stay the night at this hotel and should be given more than just a refund for finding bed bugs in my hotel room! I called management- I believe his name was Dan- again today and he said once again to just “call hotel tonight”. At this point, if I was managing the hotel, I would forfeit the $120, to make sure the person promised a full refund by their employees would receive one- regardless of the policy of the third party (hotel tonight). I don’t believe this situation was handled very well and I’m hoping this review will reach whoever will make it right. Beware of staying at this hotel I’d also like to mention that the front desk employee mentioned this wasn’t the first time bed bugs had been found in this hotel since he started working there

They were doing some updates so there was no Continental breakfast,. They gave out take and go breakfasts in brown bags. which was fine for us. Our shower had a DRIP that if I had heard it over night it would of bugged me all night but I didn't hear it so it was fine. Other than one girl at front deck they were great Not sure if she was new or just rude? Her coworker was very helpful told us about the shuttle to mall and about restaurants near which was so nice. The driver were so nice and helpful. We didn't go in the pool but looked nice it wasn't really big but it would work to relax and do a little swimming. It was so close to the mall . We took the shuttle one day and drove our self the next.
