Great day trip! Drove to the coast while waiting for a wedding. Beautiful walk,15 minutes through the forest; small but pretty water ocean inlet to see along the wall up to the lighthouse. As expected great views of the rocky coast, watching ships come in and out of the ocean up the river. 5minute walk up to the interactive center. $10 for the visit. Bring mosquito repellent.

My first visit was just driving on the way to my home from Ocean Beach. I couldn't park my car at the small parking lot near Cape Disappointment because of full, I gave up to visit The lighthouse. At my 2nd visit, I booked state park RV campsite. So I had plenty of time to visit here. I ended up walk with my dog from campsite to Cape Disappointment light house, 2 hours round trip! It was 1 min walk from campsite to the beach. I was lucky to get one of the best RV camp site. I will definitely come back here. Restroom is clean! I took a shower. Somehow, I didn't get hot water. It was less warmer than lukewarm water.

I love this park. Good bathrooms and showers. Little to no cell service. Trails are nice but lots of hills so not always easy. Beach is clean and easy to get to. Get place to come unplug from the world and enjoy a sandy beach.

I love the park area. We were at the lighthouse points during low tide in the beach. Really beautiful… got to time it closely or your stuck until the next low tide. The whole area is steeped in history with Lewis and Clark. Lewis and Clark were basically saved by the Native Americans from death and starvation just a few miles from here… I’m not clear which tribe(s), think Chinook. They are probably sorry they did it!

Lots of spot u can go online check it out its state park they have someholidays free just have to check them out
Yes got to go to office to fill out paper work and it's free
No. There are different sites for bikers, large vehicles and smaller sites for car or RV camping. All sites have roads to or near them.
The yurts do not have bathrooms, but the campground restrooms are very nice, clean, and have great showers! Not very far from the yurts! My daughter just stayed in one this weekend and loved it!
This probably wouldn't be a safe place due to the tremendous undercurrent made worse to the fact of the river. Waves are normally pretty violent so I'm sure its pretty sketchy. I've seen kite surfers, but off on the Oregon side of the river.
A permit is required. Drones are allowed on a limited basis. The website of the Washington State Parks has more information.
Yes i did it loved it i had my gun. Though and for your review Miss Lady if I'm traveling by myself and I have a gun conceal permit I'll take my gun whenever I want to make sure that I'm safe Miss Jessica from the review down below
Yup
This time of year yes. Soon as possible!
It's been a bit since I've been there, but the roads were good last I was there. Then again I've not driven on them in a low car.
Yes
The Discovery Trail goes through a lot of the park as well as much of Long Beach. Not sure of the exact starting points but it's a long trail and gives you beautiful views!
Long Beach RV Campground 360 642 4061 Within walking distance to the North Head Lighthouse
Year-round, was just there 3 weeks ago. They're coin-op.
Camping is excellent, not so much fishing.
Good
1-800-226-7688. Is that the number you called? If so, keep trying.
Yes bring your rv tent rent a cabin or yurt.highly recommend making reservations now as the weather gets better fills up fast.lots of trails beach is nice.lots of good scenery
Washington: In Washington, all classes of electric-assisted bicycles may be operated on a fully controlled limited-access highway. Class 1 and 2 electric bicycles can be used on sidewalks, but Class 3 bicycles "may not be used on a sidewalk unless there is no alternative to travel over a sidewalk as part of a bicycle or pedestrian path." Generally, a person may not operate an electric-assisted bicycle on a trail that is designated as non-motorized and that has a natural surface unless otherwise authorized.
There is lots of, first come first serve, places still open.
Hi, I believe you would need to go to the Washington State park website and look there regarding fire restrictions.
Yes you can!
You need to make reservations online, this Park is always full.
Area C is for tent camping mostly, and they close it in the winter. Area B is partly open with partial hookups, years, the closed area is close to the beach.
LOL It's exactly the opposite. Like naming a place Greenland when it's icy, and Iceland which is green. Hope you get a chance to enjoy all it has to offer.
Yes. There is a fee for adults (not sure of the price) but kids are free under, I think, 11 or 12 years old.
Hey Travis! Use their website to see 2020 rates. About halfway down on this link is their PDF with cabin/yurt info and below that, a link for reservations. https://parks.state.wa.us/409/Cape-Disappointment-State-Park
I would make the reservation because its very busy. Its the only way to be sure you can get a spot.
There is the reserved area and the 1st come 1st serve area. Reserved area fills up months in advance. The non reserved is risky on a weekend. Get in line at the gatehouse at least 30-40 mins before the gatehouse opens.
From what I understand only if you had made reservations for them last year,I could be wrong
I believe its 14 days at each campsite... just move spot's to stay longer!
Depending on what campsites you get! Site c168 is the closest campsite I've found!
Where do you get firewood? We are looking to get a 1/4 chord to share with our large group of 7 families. Going thru the small store would get expensive
You can't in that area. Only place on the beach where it's legal is Greyland/Tokeland area
I had to reserve a yurt spot (full rv hookups) for my tent. It was $35.
Fishing is open... Camp ground open for day use
I was there yesterday and it was open.
Make your reservation as early as possible..
Booking is fairly empty during the week.. weekends are sometimes booked up 2 years in advance especially cabins & yurts in summertime
Awesome place they are currently doing improvements adding rock
Closed until October at least for awhile, i believe is what was written on the "Do not enter sign" they had there about a month ago when we were there!
No it is a state park with lots of rules and restrictions .its a nice place to visit but I will never pay to be harassed while camping there again It is cheaper and more private to get a hotel .they police the sites all day .I'm 30 something years old and they came in to my site to check my id because I had a beer .then they checked my fire to see if I was burning anything other than there overpriced bundles of wood
They accept walk ins, but I think all sites can be reserved
There is no fee to walk from Seaview if Long Beach. I went in a bicycle yesterday, no fee, just beautiful.
It's a great place to go swimming if you are a good swimmer, waves can certainly get going on the Oceanside and around the jetty, Long Beach is also a stone's throw away and has some great areas to swim around there that are a little calmer
I searched for a phone number and came up with Deep Creek: +1-888-226-7688
I believe you can fish off the first 75 feet and then it's closed after that
Yes, a lot of them right on the ocean front. You'll need to book them way in advance though. I recently checked it out and couldn't get a spot till like October.
http://parks.state.wa.us/166/Camping-fees this Web page shows fees - depends on the type of campsite. Prices start at $12.
Yes
Yes, water, sewer and electric!
Yes as a matter of fact you can get electric and water both for a tent site it'll cost you $45 a night
Typically not enough room but the yurt site are mixed in with the tent sites
Call the ranger station. Oregon parks as of today 7/19/18 shut down all fires unless you can turn it off with a valve, like propane.
so there’s no fishing allowed at all while renovation?
Pretty sure you could best bet call for available space just to be on the safe side so you can at least have a plan B.
If you are talking about the federal passes, then no. This is a Washington state park. The do have a yearly pass for $30 or a day pass for $10. They do honor the Washington state senior limited income pass.
No not in park our on beach
The C sites are pretty good - good cover, soft and level ground, and steps away from the beach. We had 4 tents up and had plenty of room. Enough parking for 3 Subarus.
Pick up a map at the ranger station when you drive in - really helps navigate the slot assignments.
Before you fully walk out onto the beach, near the walking paths ... You can see black sand!
Rates vary on the season and time, so contact Cape D directly via phone or website.
There are different type of campsites... from full hookups to those for tents only... so, to answer your question.... yes there is outlets provided you get a campsite with water and electrical hookups...
