It's a great place to go swimming if you are a good swimmer, waves can certainly get going on the Oceanside and around the jetty, Long Beach is also a stone's throw away and has some great areas to swim around there that are a little calmer
Yes it's probably the safest place to swim, but it does have a tide and waves
Not really.. the lighthouse itself is on a very high bluff OVERLOOKING the ocean. There are several beach access locations around it, but the closest with parking had the road blocked off for construction at the end of March, 2019.
