Had plenty of clothes that haven't seen the outside of the closet that are rejected because "brand and material" which really seems like an excuse for having pretentious attitudes and terrible service. It's a second hand store trying to present itself as a bougie high scale store. Don't sell here.

When you first walk in clean and friendly, organization inside the store is great. Lots of vintage clothing and shoes. Really great prices and lots of options. This store is in one of the best neighborhoods in Portland. Definitely worth a stop.

Always an excellent selling experience at this location! They're really good to educate if something should be consignment versus purchased outright. The peeps that work there are amazing and I love shopping and selling here!

I would give 2 stars for the product and value, 4 for the staff and service. Not a ton of inventory. Several fixtures were sparsely merchandised. Found A LOT of stained items and items that were in what I would consider to be non-sellable at a boutique type thrift store. Faded, frayed, pilled, stretched out to a level that I would not pay the price they were charging or feel comfortable wearing in most settings. The staff was very friendly and welcoming though. And due to a lack of inventory, it was easy to shop. I also sold, as usual when selling to a thrift, they took very few items. I sold a midi-length skirt and a corduroy jacket (both in excellent/like new condition). They just tagged them and threw them in the bin without telling me what they were pricing it at. Now that I think about it, I wish they would behave like buffalo and tell you what the item value is/what they are selling it for. I got $20 trade value, meaning they would charge $40 for those items. Which is much less by comparison to what I saw on the racks.

Yes they do, but you'll get like $12 for them.
It depends on the clothes. Crossroads and 2nd Street will pay more for higher end clothing and shoes than buffalo or Plato's, Plato's is the least picky about what they take but they pay the least. Buffalo does higher volume than the others so they tend to balance volume with price. All of the resale shops are more likely to purchase if your clothes are clean, folded, and organized and really it all depends on the person working who looks thru your items. Tip: to maximize your earnings take the trade rather than cash and purchase something that you can resell yourself for more than you buy it for.
Not really their specialty, they do consign modern designer stuff primarily. If you're looking to sell true vintage your best bet is depop or ebay
Yes they will purchase used and now clorhes!
We require masks in line with CDC guidelines for both staff and customers. We limit the amount of people in our stores and encourage social distancing. We have stringent cleaning policies in place.
Hello, Thanks for your question! The decision to purchase any clothing is made in the store at the Sell counter. Just bring your items in and have a buyer take a look. You can find more information on what styles we are currently looking for here: https://crossroadstrading.com/selling-guide/
I am a small business owner and pay my staff above minimum wage. We believe that providing exceptional customer service and staff education comes at a cost to our business. You, as a company, are solely responsible for paying staff a living wage. Your margins should be able to cover these minor increases in wages.
