Ocean Beach Palace Hotel and Suites

Came down on a work trip. Was nervous based on some of the reviews. The room was great, bed was comfy, room was spacious for 3 adults in the double queen with kitchenette. It's definitely not a resort or 5 star but I will definitely stay again no questions asked. Bathroom a bit tight and room could use a full length mirror and better lighting. Guest were pretty quiet. Yes people were outside smoking real or CBD who knows...but they stayed to themselves. They have a outdoor pool. I didn't get to utilize it but looked like everyone enjoyed it. I do have 2 complaints. 1 that hotel can't fix and 1 they can. When we got there to check in, which is next door, we had 2 vehicles. We knew it was $8/night for one car, can only assume a 2nd car would be that or less. Nope, $20/night for the 2nd car. A little ridiculous. Need to update so people aren't caught off guard with this extra charge. Went through Priceline and was never informed of this. My second complaint is the location to the beach. Beach access is about 3 blocks down. I believe it is at Flamingo Blvd. So a little bit of a walk. So just keep that in mind. Oh an be aware the outside looks kinda sketchy but it's perfectly fine.

Room was clean when we first arrived. Stayed for 11 days and was told we have to pay $50 extra dollars for room service or even fresh towels and trash bags. When we first arrived we were informed our booking had been canceled and they hadn't informed us. Being that it was memorial weekend we were quite worried. But after about 20minytes of waiting they had gotten us a room. Over all I give the cleanliness 5 starts but service and management was 3 stars. Location was great your not on the beach it's about 7 minute drive but your right in the heart of all the activities

My gf and I made a reservation and we're promised a room for $230. When we arrived, they had sold our room and gave us a courtesy suite for an extra $130. The manager on duty was less than helpful and told me it was their policy when the room was booked through a third party and payment not made up front. Less than pleased, will not be returning!

The rooms are nice, updated and clean. The out side really needs some TLC. Our friend booked the honey moon suite as it was the only room available. It had a nice view of 3 dumpsters off their balcony. The property really needs some cleaning up and updating. The tiki bar by the pool is not open and very weathered. It's a shame because it could be cute. Location is excellent. 2 decent pools and close to McDonald's, Walgreens and other stores within walking distance.
