Positive: The neighborhood was great. The pool was nice and clean and very enjoyable. Office staff was nice and accommodating and helpful. The hotel is old but is still OK to stay in. Negative: The parking lot has too many potholes and really needs to be redone professionally. I was able to maneuver around them but I shouldn't have to as a paying guest. When it rained, you couldn't see the potholes.

Front desk personal is great. Breakfast is good, very clean and decent amount of choices. Pool and Jacuzzi are nice. Now they need urgently to change those horrible carpets and upgrade furniture. I asked a non smoke room and I can't handle anymore that smell. The fitness center is closed they are upgrading it, however I never saw anyone working there. If you reserve here and the fitness center is important call first to ask if is open. I hope this is helpful

Positive: Location Negative: There was no soap. Thankfully i had my own. I asked staff gor more towels because my room was not serviced for my 2nd day. Instead of getting towels for me they said go to the front desk. I'm low maintenance and that's good for staying there

We've stayed here for the last 10 plus years before and after our annual cruise. We love the location and the staff. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. For the most part the rooms are very quiet, except this year when a neighboring room's German Shepherd would start barking at 6am. Not necessarily the hotel's fault, but I question having a dog that big cooped up in a motel room for several days. My biggest complaint is the overall condition of the rooms. Overall they are clean and the bed comfortable, but the rooms could use a major make over. The furniture has not been replaced for 10 plus years and the carpet needs a major cleaning, preferably replacement. We have stayed at other La Quinta's and found them to be much more up to date. Now I realize updating a hotel this size is not cheap, but has to be done occasionally. New furniture, new carpet and new paint would go a long way to bring it to the rooms up to date. And the parking lot needs to be repaved, many large potholes. Also some security walking the property occasionally would be nice. Found several transients using the power outlets to charge their cell phones when I went for ice. Overall we love the location and the staff! Just time for an update. Not sure if we will stay there next year or not.
