They eat with you. It is all served as a family meal. You get bowls full of food. Like fried chicken, meatloaf, catfish, bbq ribs, roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, Cole slaw, potato salad, Mac and cheese, corn casserole, creamed corn
I was there last week and asked the same question, because my daughter is vegetarian and her boyfriend is vegan. I was told you could get 1 appetizer in exchange of the entrees, and that all the sides were cooked and seasoned with meats
I'm sure there are busy times, but dont let people scare you, our wait on a weekday eve was 20 min. And you've got to go, its awesome!! All u can eat, there isn't one dish that isn't exceptional! Fried chicken and catfish, killer!!!
I wouldn't even go. The food is really not that good at all. Meatloaf was cold, catfish was over cooked and the pork chops came out after everyone was finished eating
Breakfast was good, not as good as dinner by far. Pancakes were cold and not good. Most everything else was good. If you want a great dinner eat at Paula's. If if want a great breakfast go to pancake pantry in Gatlinburg, worth the wait. Best pancakes anywhere
That's bull !! Now hard is it to remove a chair in place of a wheelchair. They're elevator for people if your not able to walk. There are sitting area if you have wait. They are very hospitable to all.
To be honest I didn't see a buffet there at Paula Deens kitchen. When they say family style they are referring to the menu choices. If there are 4 people in your party, you can choose from menu combos to feed 4 at the table. You have a choice of 3 meats, 4 sides, 2 desserts
They arrive at your table to be shared with each other the same way you would in a family cooked meal. Communal rules of edicate apply additional portions are available so everyone is provided as much food as you care to eat. The server attends to the food replenishment as the circumstances requires. It is all you can eat, seconds, thirds or more if you are really hungry. I hope I've explained well enough.
It is part of The Island in Pigeon Forge. There is a street you could have dropped off at, plus the tram from the parking lot drops everyone off about 40 feet from the entrance.
3 meats for table so choose wisely... a veggie and dessert go for meatloaf chicken stuff u know u eat over and over that all will eat.... dessert is only 1 per person
It easy to park near by.. GPS takes you right to the lot .. usually a short walk or you can catch a shuttle.. get your name on the wait list as soon as you arrive.. wait can be more than 2 hour .. they will text your phone when your table is ready .. so plenty of time to see the sites and visit all the stores and shops near by
They do not have a kids menu. But they're family buffet offers mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn. Fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, and meat loaf.
No reservations, and when you sign in (we had a 2 hour wait), your entire party needs to be present or they won't add you to the list. (At least that is what we were told when we checked in.
You cannot go in just for dessert. Also the dessert was average at best. Do not waste your time or money eating the food or desserts at this specific Paula Deen restaurant. You will be highly dissatisfied and disappointed. I love a good dessert and was not impressed at all... honestly I was disappointed and expected a better dessert. We tried 4 different ones and none were exceptional.
We accommodate all guests of Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen as they walk in, which means reservations are not required. Upon arrival, a member of our host team will take your name and phone number, allowing us to text you when your table is ready. All members of the party must be present to be seated at a table.
No reservations , you check in with front desk and they take you first come first serve. Every one needs to be present when they call you to be seated. There food is worth any wait even when packed.
I do not know about seniors. They do however offer a discount to both veterans and locals. It is not cheapn. But if you are planning on eating a whole bucket of KFC by yourself this might be an alternative.
We have 2 handicapped people one has problems with her back and legs the other with her legs, will they take reservations for a wedding rehearsal dinner? There will be ten of us on Sunday at 7:00 on February 17, 2019.

Did your party have any issues? Obviously, no one answered this question. We would love a follow up? Everyone who needs more than one server should let them know. To ask questions, use this link. They, of course, have every ADA in mind, in action, and available. There's an elevator. There is parking. There is a tram/trolley that transports people into the center. Book your party https://pauladeensfamilykitchen.com/groups/
I'm going to go with a no. This is southern cooking...fried, cheesy, and you get to choose from just a few items. But if you're there on vacation, plan accordingly. One meal can be like this.
Here is what their website says... We do have gluten-free options available however biscuits are made fresh on premises.
Breakfast – Alrighty then Scrambled Eggs, Black Pepper Bacon, Applewood Smoked Center Cut Bacon, Sausage Patties, Country Ham, Tomato Grits, Fresh Fruit.
Lunch/Dinner – Spare Ribs, Creamed Corn, Fresh Candied Yams, White Rice, Creamed Potatoes, Porky Beans, Poppyseed Tossed Salad (no croutons), and Cole Slaw.
I've got a gluten allergy. It's not a choice for me, it's a med issue. Is there anything here not breaded? No wheat, flour or barley. I do want everything she cooks but my body won't let me.

Probably should just call them and ask the people who actually work there.
No, go during week and check in.... they will text you when table is ready.... typically 30 mins depending on size of group. Put your name in then go walk around the shops. They text you when table is ready.
Lol wow. No of course not, they do not re-serve any food that hasnt been eaten. They do however bring it out in relatively small amounts but they will continually bring out more at your request. They do this to avoid waste food.
There is a parking lot next to resturant but it may take you a while to get a parking spot. They do offer the tram which has handicap park close to tram stop's. Hope this helps!
I would suggest you find somewhere more romantic then Paula Deen's. At no point is anything here romantic, there is always the noise and hustle and bustle of families and servers in the restaurant. They don't do romantic in my opinion, it's a you choose 3 meats, 4 sides meal. They bring it to the table and serve yourself.
All of it that I've had was delicious, pork chops, chicken, catfish, all the veggies. I don't care for black eyed peas but theirs are the best I've ever had.
Richard Campbell is 100% correct. If you are watching salt and calorie intake then Paula Dean's is not the place to eat but if your looking for damn good food with taste that will blow your mind tjam this is the place but beware fo on an empty stomach.
Lunch was 16.95 a person well worth the money all you can eat .you can not take left over out which you can not in a buffet ....we had catfish and ribs both was delicious
