Why is the wait so long and the food so Bad at Paula Deen resturant? My family was in shock, the fried fish was soggy, the squash was raw , the peas were over cooked, the tiny bowl out with food to feed 3 people

We went at 5:00 and the wait was not bad but we didn't think the food was great.

We had the wait, but our fried chicken and pork chops were delicious. The chicken and dumplings had an overwhelming spice, thyme perhaps, we didn't care for. The sides we chose were very good: mac and cheese, green beans, corn casserole and mashed potatoes and gravy. The size of dishes were deceiving; it's all you can eat and we only asked for seconds despite the smaller serving dishes. Desserts were good too. We'll go back. Wonder if time of day affects quality of food?
