My grandma has been at Park for a little over 6months. We're grateful for the staff and management who've taken the extra mile to provide the best care possible.

I have been trying to remove my mother from this facility since March, 2022. She was admitted March 16th, 2021. Since her admittance, she has suffered numerous bed sores, rashes from not being bathed, and unprofessional staff who do not reply to emails regarding my mother’s care to avoid substantiation. The administration prefers verbal communication that can not be substantiated. I asked if I could audio record proposed meetings and was told “no”. I was not surprised nor perplexed because the administration will not stand behind their fake words. Spring Lozada the social services director with the approval of Alexandra Lee the assistant administrator and Nina Kuljanin-Thompson the administrator has laced my mother’s referral packet with lies and negative opinions about my sister and I to prevent other facilities from admitting her. We visit my mother daily and are firsthand witnesses to low performance, inconsistency, retaliation, and unprofessionalism. Do not admit your loved ones here. Especially, if they are to reside on the C wing. I hope this review is helpful.

Here's my review of Alden Strathmore my mother died two days ago she was there for 4 weeks to get therapy after pneumonia the nurses that cared for my mom were nice enough but that's only one part of the story I'm not saying that her death could be prevented but I know this for a fact. On the Facebook page there are claims that we have a holistic approach and innovative therapies. There's nothing innovative about that place or the therapy They rank Almost at the bottom of nursing homes in the Northern Illinois area Went from a functioning woman that did have dementia but she had her memory that was pretty good . Short term sometimes not all the time she did most things for herself with help at times. Used a walker .went to church .out to eat get hair done . Enjoyed family conversation with her brother's . And yes Pneumonia For 7 days in the hospital. Was what made things difficult i in a way. But once in Strathmore it was down hill. . I think there is a real issues with age in this country a therapy company CPT is brought in to do the iin house therapy, physical therapists and the speech therapists in some casesa couple of the therapists had a bad attitude . were not very willing to explain about my mother's condition and swallowing problems they would get mad or upset when you ask too many questions and they felt probably a little bit like we were insulting them asking questions and they would get a little bit mad telling us that we ask too many questions and and we're too specific when it comes to a loved ones condition ..it's a outdated place as far as the equipment from my perspective Go to other homes first . Do your investigations ask others look at reviews
