Yes. Our target ages are 0 to 12. Because we are a children's science museum, we have exhibits for both younger and older children. Even adults have fun and learn a lot here!
There are a variety of exhibitions: space, NASA, farms, gravity, how gears and pulleys work, a special Discovery area for very young children, and much more. If you've never been there, it's worth a trip.

Different schools have different spring break dates. The only Tuesday we scheduled to be open in March was Tuesday, March 22.

Yes. We offer free afternoons for Illinois residents and no groups. The days are not always Thursdays (some are Wednesdays), nor are they every week. The next days are Sept. 11 and 12 from 1-5 pm. We hope you can join us.

We are open 7 days a week from 10-5 in an attempt to accommodate the working schedules of all families. That way, parents working Monday - Friday still have the weekends to visit Discovery Center with their families.

Today's New Year's Eve event is free to Discovery Center members and is $8/person for the public, and free to children age 1 and younger. The $8 is our regular general admission - there is no upcharge for the special activities today. We hope you can join us!

The average visitor spends 2 1/2 hours. Members tend to spend a little less time as they usually have many visits.

They do, if you stop in and talk to them they can tell you. I believe it starts at $110 for an hour with 8 guests though.

We are a Blue Star Museum. This program runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Free Admission Eligibility: Free admission* is open to anyone carrying a valid military ID card (CAC Card), or a DD Form 1173 ID Card (Dependent ID Card). This includes members of active duty military, National Guard, Reserves,U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and the NOAA Commissioned Corps. Free admission is valid for the service member, and up to 5 dependents.

Very strange. I apologize for the inconvenience . On occasion our system does go down. Our receptionist is gone this week and our temp may not have turned on the system from night mode to day mode properly. Please try again. We are open 10am to 5pm daily. Admission is$8/person. We currently have a temporary exhibit here all about Curious George. It is an extra $3/ person if you choose to see it.
