Really great haunted house. We enjoyed the VIP experience.
Life, Entertainment, and Food Reviews
Just went this weekend on the 29th and it's the best haunted house yet!!! I've been to five haunted houses in Texas (I actually worked at one before a few years back) and I'm impressed. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. •The aesthetics and effects are awesome! Practically over the top and creative. Some aspects of the haunted house is fear based and others are just outright cool. It's unlike any haunted house I've ever seen. •They have a combination of electronics and actors to give everyone a frightening scare. (They mainly have jumpscare actors, but there's a few that actually put on a performance or switch things up for their act.) Absolutely everything in this haunted house is well thought out and definitely over the top in the best possible way. •Ticket prices are a bit pricey $40-80 budget, but it's definitely worth it!! About 30-40 minute walkthrough if you walk regular slow pace. (In case people wonder why haunted houses are so expensive. Just remember most have many actors to pay and decorations to fix/upgrade over the months.) •Do prepare for long lines especially so close to Halloween as even the speed passers had to wait for a good amount of time. But the wait isn't all that bad as they have music and friendly, but scary actors outside. Eager to take photos with those who deem brave enough.🎃🎃 •If there was something I'd change it is maybe the ending to the attraction. As it was a bit anticlimactic compared to the rest. Basically just saw the exit and that was it- none of the usual scary/cool send offs haunted houses give. Thing's I didn't see surprisingly is dolls and chainsaws.(It practically has everything else which is again impressive!)

Awesome place to visit for a scare. I had so much fun!

Dark Hour was great! There were soooo many actors and the overall experience lasted much longer than I would have expected. I would argue that the Fast Pass was worth the cost because the line was pretty long when we arrived. There are porta potties outside by the line but it's worth knowing there are actual restrooms inside you can use as well.

Yes! they even have a worker to help push you through if needed!
The website explicitly states not for children under 14.
Thanks for all the answers guys
General admission tickets are $40 or $60 (before taxes & fees) depending on the night. Busier nights, like Saturday and Halloween, are more expensive.
Coven is the name of the house. There used to be the main haunt and a smaller side one (previously Annabelle’s Asylum), but they merged the two for one larger, longer one. So your admission tickets gets you into the new, improved haunt
Magic
Opening night is 9-23-22, 7pm
Please continue to check our official website and social media pages for up to date hours.
It's not worth it. Save your money
It gets busier the later in the season that it gets. The line shouldn't be too long at 6. They open the doors at about 7.
Between 15-77. They have 2 houses and they have a vip experience that's $90.
*yes* it's the scariest haunt in The dfw area and a 3.5 year old has no business in it. Get a babysitter.
I would say no and I suggest you go on a Sunday to save on entrance fee. If you arrive when it opens, you'll be in line about 15mins or so before you're going through the first maze..
35 for reg, and for vip 70. Vip is worth it, two trips thru
This year is pretty scary. It is the nightmare witch. Special effects awesome
A normal amount, I suppose? If you're talking regular, repeating strobe, maybe even less.
Scary is a personal descriptor. Example...Snakes scare the bejeezus out of my mom, but my daughter has them as pets. I love Dark Hour for the thrill, but it doesn't scare me (honestly, none have but that isn't their fault, I worked at some as a small child). It has seemed to scare other people walking out. Lots of screams inside and laughter. The actors are really good with a well thought out storyline and excellent backdrops, props, special effects, and makeup. I don't work for them, don't get any special discounts, don't even know anyone working there, have just been impressed with the way they handle their haunt. They will even stop and let people out if needed.
Ticket takers and ticket sales close at 12. If you get in before 12 you get to experience the whole haunt you paid for. Have scary nightmares my friend.
You have to have a ticket. Purchase the general admission ticket.
That would be good for us older people but the kids have never heard of the shining.
I believe the building was built in 1992, or around that time. It was built as a Sports Town and then became an Academy Sports, now Dark Hour.
Yes, it's a secondary attraction that follows the initial house.
There is no age limit. Just be mindful of the theme...
There are 2 haunts. Get a coupon at Spirit Halloween stores and you can do both haunts tonight for $33.
The earlier you go the shorter the wait. It is worth the extra money to get the fast pass.
They have their normal Halloween season plus Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Walpurgisnacht (April), Spring Fever (May), Summer Spirits (June), and Dog Days (July). These usually run for just one weekend during the month listed.
