As a minor, the courts require any settlement funds to go into either a trust, the court registery (the county bank account), or into an insurance product. The court will appoint an attorney to represent the minor. This lawyer will decide if the settlement is appropriate and in the best interest of the child. If the court appointed lawyer believes the settlement is a good one and in the best interest of the child, the Judge will approve the settlement. The money will then be invested for the child. The court system requires this process to ensure the settlement funds are spent for the benefit of the child. Dejaun - as I responded yesterday, the only thing that caused EW to drop your file - with no retained interest or lien - was your verbally abusive behavior to my staff on multiple occasions, including yesterday. And as for the long wait at the MRI facility a couple of weeks ago, I personally spoke to the owner to see what happened and to ensure that did not occur again with you or any other client. I know the facility had an MRI machine go down that day but they could have handled the situation much better. For starters, the facility should have told all patients that day about the problem and offered to reschedule patients who did not wish to wait. I believe this will be handled far better in the future and I am glad you told us about the problem so I could address it. As I said yesterday, I hope you find another lawyer to handle your claim and you heal from all of your injuries. All my best, Amy

We would first encourage you to contact your current attorney, set up a meeting, and try and work things out. Usually clients want to change lawyers due to a lack of communication or miscommunication. If that fails to remedy your problems, you would have to fire your attorney before we can ethically discuss your case or give you any insight. I believe once they get all the information about your accident,like were the airbags deployed etc,etc.. And if you have a case then maybe a month or 2 maybe.. Each case is different. There a good company and trust worthy. You have nothing to lose. I recommend them..
