Scary is a personal descriptor. Example...Snakes scare the bejeezus out of my mom, but my daughter has them as pets. I love Dark Hour for the thrill, but it doesn't scare me (honestly, none have but that isn't their fault, I worked at some as a small child). It has seemed to scare other people walking out. Lots of screams inside and laughter. The actors are really good with a well thought out storyline and excellent backdrops, props, special effects, and makeup. I don't work for them, don't get any special discounts, don't even know anyone working there, have just been impressed with the way they handle their haunt. They will even stop and let people out if needed.
Itd be fun for a 14 year old! Depends on their previous exposure to haunted houses/scary things.... Tickets are $20-35
If you buy the tickets online early it's usually $10 cheaper than if you paid at the door. We paid $35 and yes me and my buddies are 30+ and had a blast. A 14 year old will love it

Im 25 and love zombies and thought it was a little scary so i think that they might too. And i paid $35 for the my ticket
