Had a tour for 12:00 noon and drove all the way here just to find out that they’re busy giving other people tours till 1 pm, making me wait awhile without notice…

So many red flags here. The employee in the leasing office has inadequate training. The entire experience was unprofessional. My first contact with CB was December 13th 2021. My expected move in date was for Feb 28th. What I experienced in this time should not have happened considering how far in advance I planned it. Was told the previous tenants would move out on 2/15/22. And the unit would be ready by 2/28/22. I was told I could view the unit on 2/20/22. Absolutely unacceptable that I was shown a unit in the condition this was in. It was so bad, I knew it wouldn’t be ready in the following 8 days. The smell alone was sickening. That pet damage was major. There were even still belongings of the previous tenant in the storage unit. Also the unit is old. Not updated at all imo. (I have had SEVERAL friends and family live here in the past 10 years) Not worth over 2,000 dollars for absolute sure. After expressing my concerns with the unit and the time frame I was told not to worry that they had professionals that could have it ready in time. 2/25/22 I was told the unit would not be ready for another week or so. Go figure. 3 days before move in date. I reached out and asked about my options should I decide to not move forward and informed them again that The rent was going up on my current rental, significantly. I NEEDED to move out by the 28th and they knew this. I was told that they would not be compensating any extra fees incurred due to their unprofessionalism. So I waited the following week to hear back about when the unit would be ready. I heard nothing from them Until the end of the week in which I received an email Asking me to give them a decision as soon as possible so that they could plan for what was to come. The audacity right? I replied back asking if the unit was ready and what my prorated cost would be to move in. I heard nothing back from them after that. In addition to all of this I walked in one day to get some information and another resident was at the front desk complaining that he was trying to change his address and the address of his unit was not showing up in the postal system. Same front desk person told him “I don’t know” and they would “speak to Rachel” I also ran into the same issue after paying my holding fee and receiving my address. I drove through several times while it snowed in January and they never cleared out their parking lot or driveway of ice and snow like other complexes did. It was very dangerous driving through which made me make the decision that I did not want to live in a unit on the very top of the hill. Geese poop all over the place but I guess that’s to be expected… I’m now paying an extra 500+ A month for my current unit because I did not renew my lease thinking I was moving. Needless to say I did not move forward with renting from this apartment complex And I would not recommend chandlers bay to anyone looking for a new place to call home.

Moved in last June and was able to leave end December 2021, please be aware that there is limited maintenance staff doing all apartment turnovers and maintenance requests. Moved into apartment with doors that don’t close due to button screws vs flat head, broken screen to bedroom, bad paint on wood trim that sticks to picture frames or anything that come into contact, and towel bar holder that already has come out of the wall. Only the most basic requests can be handled due to short staffed maintenance department but expect many follow ups and weeks to have issues addressed. The pond behind the apartments has broken water pump making it a stagnant breeding ground for flies and mosquitoes. If you are desperate for a place to stay in Kent be aware of current conditions before new management company takes over in August. I would not recommend signing a long term lease before you see if things improve. Also be aware that you will not get back all your security deposit unless you pay for professional move out cleaning and provide receipt to properly manager.

I have lived here for 2 and a 1/2 years. And through my time I have been staying here Tiffany is the only one that has been stable as a hard worker here at chandlers Bay. She goes above an beyond to try to make this apartment safe. She is very understanding, and she don't take any B.S she helps and works very hard to make sure your needs as a tenant are met such as maintenance and other issues. Through this pandemic she has been to hell and back and she is still here because she cares about chandlers bay and this community. And you can't find that anywhere else.
