Everyone has an opinion. I was here this time to see a friend in a coma in the trauma unit. I've been here for my own past, never had a bad experience. The nurses, doctors, & staff here are overworked & stressed out from patient to patient, like most medical providers. Give them some slack. I'm happy my friend in a coma is getting the help he needs. Grateful for all their hard work & dedication to help. Thank you.

In the past 12 months, I have had two general surgery appointments scheduled in their operating rooms. The first one was for nasal surgery and this past Monday for orthopedic shoulder surgery. The hospital settings are extremely clean and the entire staff, especially the nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons are all outstanding. Care and compassion at their best. I'm very appreciative of the level of care here locally, and not having to go to Seattle, Portland, or San Francisco for surgery.

My 83 year old mother was transferred from Kaiser urgent care by ambulance. It took over 1.5 hours to even be let into the ER, she was stuck in the ambulance waiting area. She sat in a urine soaked bed for nearly 3 hours until I lost my temper. She was in the hallway between two people who were incarcerated and in restraints and screaming. One nurse screamed “F*&$ this I quit” and left. This is where my mom spent the last few days of her life. Horrible!!! The ER in this hospital is the WORST. Make another plan you will not be treated like a human here.

ER twice, and dismissed twice (second time.by ambulance so closest hospital is St Pete's), as having "nothing wrong with me" to quote a nurse. There definitely was something wrong -i have since been diagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia and had a secondary infection to boot. It's excruciating pain made worse by the trauma some of the nurses/doctors created. I give two stars because it was a 'mixed bag'. I had one DO that was caring and kind, the others varied from rude to just plain mean. I felt traumatized, dismissed and scared that no one would help me find relief. Maybe the doctors should listen to the patient even when it may be outside of their scope, experiences or just not apparent. Listen! Care enough to not dismiss what we, in our pain, are trying to relay. This story is all too common!! Will drive North to Virginia Mason next time I am in need of care. Won't ever go back!

#60 goes directly there. #62 A & B drops you off on Martin Way x Lilly Rd. and is a ten minute walk
I had a wonderful experience using their birthing center.
Yes you are correct no latex so mylar balloons would be ok.
An urgent care location or a primary care doctor would be better. They are quicker and cheaper.
Yes, but I don't think the selections are good for people with gluten issues. No hot options and older sushi rolls or cold hard boiled eggs for lunch is not good food.
I received my follow-up phone call about 5 days after I left. It is an automated message, so if your phone is set up to remove "spam" calls by forcing the caller to press a button to proceed, that could be a reason why you haven't received a call. Otherwise, I would give a call to the front desk and ask.
Yes u can after all covid check in procedures
Emilie gamelin pavilion
Current visitation hours generally are reserved to daily from 10 am to noon and 4 pm to 6 pm
Umm...its been a while but I remember it doesnt come from the hospital..it should get mailed to you. However, if unsure maybe try calling DSHS or Social Security?
You have to actually go in there.
I believe that's being directed by the state. Medical workers, elderly "at risk " will receive it first. My other primary provider has offered it to me as it comes available to us, whatever that means, time etc. You can be put on a list I believe according to my case worker for SEAMAR medical. They get access so the general public can get in when ready. Not sure of other details though, Clint
In general I believe so. I would recommend flowers with low pollen to ensure they are allowed in, especially in the critical care. So no lilies etc. Maybe stick to something like carnations etc that people generally are not allergic to
Oncology
Yes it is.
Yes
You are only allowed to visit pediatric patients and end of life patients.
Cardiovascular Critical care is also on second floor and administrative things. Lab is also on 2nd floor.
Yes.
It's a cardiac floor
The Clinical Observation Unit (COU) is located in the Emilie Gamelin Pavilion 3rd Floor behind the main hospital.
Olympia Lacey have a population of 100,000 people, the population of Lewiston Idaho is 32,000. You should probably understand that you're in a highly populated area. As for the ER taking a long time since it's a high-volume ER they have to prioritize. if you waited hours your situation probably wasn't life threatening, therefore they took care of the cases that were life-threatening and then took care of the lower priority cases in the order in which they received.
All the way to the right of the hospital
No they don't, the closest is in Seattle.
Yes. On the back side. Make a left off of lilly rd into ensign. Go down the hill & turn right on providence lane across from mother Joseph's . It will be easy to spot
Their visiting hours are 11am to 8:30pm
I had a heart attack a year ago. Over $70,000 and I only paid a little over 500 out of pocket on paymemts. There is an amazing charity system set up. Ask at front for financial assistance. ( based on your income etc.(
The Emergency Room is very large so they divide it into multiple different wards making it easier for hospital staff to get around.
No. Only SERVICE ANIMALS.
Wow
The Penthouse. It has a nice view of Mt Rainier if memory serves.
They shouldn't be withhold medical records. Go up the chain of command (Business Office or Medical Records) until you get them.
Its the same every day. Call them
Have your friend contact her doctors office or her pharmacy. Those may be side effects, interactions w/ other meds or allergic reaction.
After discharge you take prescriptions to your normal pharmacist. As they were written. Hospital doesnt give medications unless you occupy a bed. Scrpits are nirmally written to which ever pharmacy you request.
Inside the south entrance, 413 Lilly Rd NE, Olympia, WA. And to the other person who responded "where it's always been": what a rude (not to mention dumb) answer.
No
I don't work for the hospital, I am a Google Guide, I am unable to assist you. Call the hospital directly to see if they can assist. I am not sure if they give that type of personal information.
Yes there is, on the main floor just left of the information desk, main entrance.
Yes, it's nearly always busy. Still, I feel like they're the only show in town.
They are terrible, and if you aren’t physically in your death bed you get ignored for hours on end. I went in with a critically low blood sugar and sat in the waiting room as it dropped further for around 4 hours. When I came in they checked my blood sugar it was in the 50’s by the time I went back I was in the 30’s. It wasn’t until my friend who is an RN called and told them to take me back that they finally took me back.
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. They were very bossy when I was trying to deliver my son. One nurse yelled at me for the way I was pushing. While I was pushing they were asking if a male doctor could help. They wouldn't tell me what he was going to be helping with. The nurses seemed annoyed that my fiance wanted to give my son his first bath. Then they made me sit in the delivery room for an extra 2 hours because they didn't have an extra recovery room for me (and charged me for the "delivery room" which is more expensive than the recovery room. They never brought me my ibuprofen I asked for. They charged me for "nursery room" I never used it. But "it was avaliable for me to use" so that's why I was charged another thousand. And they charged me for a level 4 high risk delivery just because I showed up too late to be hooked up to a dumb monitor. Overall.....rude nurses and they will charge you for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they possibly can. I will never go to thus hospital again.
You would have to talk to the hospital directly or google their websute, as I am a Google Guide not a hospital representative.
I love the nurses at st. Pete they treat you with respect very helpful . these are the cardio nurses i speak of they are 1st class in there profession
The ER is on the south end of the building. That is the south entrance.
No, I don't think so. You probably need to contact registration, admin, or the department you need to be seen by. They do accept Medicaid and Medicare.
Depends on the unit and if the visitors are disrupting other patients. Some units the hours are from 8am-10pm. Don't get upset if you're asked to leave.
