Just a basic Amtrak station. Nice clean, restrooms, vending machines, ticket agents. Security.

It is an amazing building! But the service is not that amazing. I am a foreigner, a visitor who doesn't know how things work here. I bought my ticket at the station and ask for a recommendation to get something to eat or have a small walk before the train would depart. The guy did tell me where the near hotel was. But didn't mention that there is an amazing corner with a beautiful waterfall two blocks away. And when I asked what could I do with my suitcase he told me I could take it with me. I then asked if it was a safe neighborhood or if it would be best for me to leave it in the station if it was possible. He told me I had to pay 10 usd for the storage of one hour instead of letting me know I could check in already and leave my luggage already set for the journey. When I came back to get my luggage back to procede to the check in I told him very excited of the discovery of the waterfall and the amazing coffee shop just across the street of that place. He replied with a bored face, yeah I know. Whaaaaat? Then why didn't he suggested me to go when I asked? I had to make a connection in another station, and in the other station the lady told me the marvels of the check in luggage to be able to go for a walk before the train departs. So... This guy is not committed to provide a service as marvelous as the station where he works. This is a bad experience. Within the station. But a beautiful one in its suroundings.

Beautiful station in the downtown of Seattle. Update: 2nd time here. The Train Station is as nice as it was the first time. The architecture is good, but what makes the station is the people.

King Street is a dead end. You can pull in there, though I'd probably stay in the car and wait for anyone coming from inside you might be waiting for
No
There is a area for anyone that needs assistance southeast corner of the station. If you are there, station employee will come to you.
No parking dedicated to the station.
Yes, it's safe, it's surrounded by a relatively lively business district of shops, coffeehouses, bars and restaurants. It's not a long walk to the waterfront as long as you're not schlepping your luggage. Access to the front door is a dead end, so no traffic to contend with.
Yes,"there should be enough parking space available for the Uber driver to park like a taxi cab on the perimeter of the Sounder arrival point on 4th Ave there @ the start of China town @ Jackson St.TheRealInternetMan😎
Not at King St Station
Jackson Street is the closest and the best because you can load and unload passengers plus it is a thru street.
The earlier you arrive, the better seat you can get. It is the holiday time frame and it could be packed. 30 to 40 minutes before the gates close.
Right end of ticket counter
We had to rent at the airport because it was after 5:00pm
I have never stayed overnight in that area but I did find a link to a discussion in a forum. Basically nap at the station or get a nearby room. Here's the link: https://discuss.amtraktrains.com/index.php?/topic/16102-any-advice-for-where-to-sleep-near-king-st-station-in-seattle-please/ Good luck!
I dont know any place close by.
20 min walk. Or catch bus, taxi, uber on 10 min
Not really. Take light rail to Westlake station.
Best bet is to setup the Amtrak app on your phone, create an account, and start there.
No. You can take the light rail down to Sea-Tac, then take the car rental shuttle bus.
Yes you can, but it cant be anything with a lid on it ( no plastic totes for instance, but i guess boxes are ok )
You can do it online by using the confirmation number.
You can take an Uber or taxi; otherwise it's quite a walk down the waterfront especially with luggage.
There are bus platforms directly outside the entrance on King Street. (The bus comes in right at track level on the outside of the building) Amtrak staff will also be available on hand to help guide you.
No I don't think so
Yes there luggage lockers at King's Station
The airport
It is staffed... they will hold or store bags for a fee. If you are an Amtrak passenger it is $10 per bag. Depending on the size. They will combine bags to count it as 1... if you are a non-Amtrak passenger then they charge $20 per bag. That Mainly is due to the games at the stadium. Station opens at 6am. Ticket counter is open from 6am-9pm
It's like any other urban train station. Architecturally beautiful, under constant maintenance/ renovation which makes it 'feel' shabby when it's not, lots of vagrants around doing their thing, high end hotels / restaurants/ offices right next door, crowds during commute times, vacant at 4 am. You'll be fine.
At this time they are only allowing ticketed passengers inside the station.
DuckDuckGo has your answer.
Call them
There is a light rail system in operation
Check Amtrak.com.
Yes. You'll have to walk your bike to the luggage car yourself and pick it from there too upon arrival
I agree. Most hotels are happy to accommodate your bags until you check in.
Right in front of the station, look to your left as you walk out of the station towards the dead end.
Try 303 S Jackson St for Amtrak pick up!
Check here on age requirement. https://m.amtrak.com/h5/r/www.amtrak.com/unaccompanied-minors-policy
Yes parking is very scarce right next to station. I had to pay for parking before, parking garage is right next to train station.
Yes red coffee truck out front most mornings, and 3 coffee shops within 1.5 blocks.
15 minutes if you are in tearing hurry. I was there before 2 hrs and enjoyed the station premises and it's awesome!
Where is ther secured/indoor parking near King Street station
No they do not
If you go to www.soundtransit.org you will find everything. I have their pdf scheule up on my screen now. The Seattle to Everett is the 516 Amtrak train at 7:45am, the 1700 Sounder train at 4:05pm, the 1702 at 4:33pm, 1704 at 5:05 pm, 1706 at 5:35pm and last, the 518 Amtrak at 7:00pm. If this was helpful please click Like for me
You can travel with pets. One per person 25lbs or less including carrier and they can only travel up to 7 hrs. Then you have to deboard, and reboard the following day. 24 hrs. You can double check the website Www.amtrak.com or call 1-800-USA-RAIL
This station is open between 06:00 and 11:00pm to accept your luggage.
The Tukwila station does not have staff. So, you will have to ask a conductor as you board.
Not sure, there are parking spots next to station but it looked like for short term parking when we took family members to Depot. There are parking garages fairly close to area but then there's the walk to Depot Try calling station for some tips. I see there are parking apps in Google play store too but I don't know how good they are. Anyone else have suggestions?
Ziegist Coffee is a block and a half away. Great coffee, and all kinds of breakfast options.
Have not seen any western union within station premises
Best bet is to arrive the day before... Trains are no different from any other form mass transportation in the USA. Delays can happen for any number of reasons, such as weather, mechanical, human, traffic backup, electrical etc... So with that being said arrive early and enjoy the departure city.
Zipcar, is the only one outside. Unless you set up a car rental prior to pick you up? Not sure how close the nearest car rental agency is. Otherwise the light link rail is a block away, runs every 15 min to the airport. The airport has car rentals.
Please contact Amtrak and they will sort out the issues
Yes, leave car at home. The parking is expensive around Seattle. Some places charge $50 a day. Depending on where you are coming from, I suggest light rail, bus, or even an Uber. Have a fun ride and thanks for choosing Amtrak!
https://m.amtrak.com/h5/r/www.amtrak.com/onboard-the-train-sleeping-accommodations
Yes, up to 20 lbs: https://www.amtrak.com/pets
Yes, very close. Train conductor or station staff can direct you once you arrive
No lockers they are being removed everywhere for safety reasons. Storage is 10.00 per for Amtrak passengers, and 20.00 per for non Amtrak.
Does this help? - https://www.amtrakvacations.com/destination/st-augustine-fl/
About a half block away, depending on route.
Not close.
6 am all week
Lost and found
Amtrak King st station. Check the metro bus schedules and the Light Rail.
There r not lockers, but there is free baggage check if u are catching the train. If uare not, you can store stuff for about $10 or so. I have done both.
I'm not sure where the shuttle stops. U want to go to king street stn on Jackson st.
Yes. Both. You can store for like $10. If u have a ticket, it's free.
There is, if your traveling on Amtrak,$10 per bag, if not traveling,$20 perbag
There is a lot of public transportation near by, but the hotels do not usually have shuttles
No there is not but there is a zip car there that you can use a credit card to rent
On the train, blankets are available
If u like to walk, you can walk iy. But there r multiple buses and taxi that can get u vlose
1 hour if you would like to be the first ones on the train. But other wise 20 min prior to departure should be good enough. YMMV.
The light rail. There is a station there. $2.50 I think
Luggage gets defecated and urinated on by the bums...
The earlier u buy the cheaper. It probably wont sell out. But seat assignment will be limited.
Check in the website or call then.
+15 min earlier to avoid stepping on homeless junkies
No when I had to wait for the next train I just cut my luggage with me
Operates from 5 am to 1 am every 5, 10, or 25 minutes depending on day. Google King County metro rail travel
No there is not any storage lockers but you can leave baggage at ticket conter
There are not.
Not sure. Probably multiple ones. Google Metro Transit. That is the Chinatown area to downtown
Double-check with Amtrak. I think you would be able to bring both suitcases into your sleeper. Amtrak allows several bags as carry on. Once checked I don't think they will allow access until you reach your destination.
Just what few spaces you may find beyond the loading zone....remember: Be faster than the other guy trying to get your spot!! Safe travels!!
No
She can TAKE extra carryon bags.
Yes there is plenty of good restaurants near bye
Yes you can,I did,
Go across the street to the light rail station.
No
Light rail is on the other side of 4th avenue. International District station.
Yes, Amtrak Coast Starlight.
Good choice with the Lodge. There's plenty of nice places within 1.5 block radius and 13 coins is opening up soon, just across the street.

The public transportation available at King St. Station is taxi, Uber and Lyft. The bus and light rail are east of the station by approx. 1 1/2 blocks, but you must go up to 4th Ave (street level) and then down to the transportation center which is under ground.
Seattle to Everett should not be affected. The derailment occurred to the douth.
Bus, taxi, uber, light rail, sounder, Amtrak, just about any transportation option, just not much parking
no, but not far from King Street Station, on the corner of S King Street and 5th Ave S
Take the train from Seattle to Vancouver wa.
Bus 594 from 4th and south Jackson is the bus to tacoma.
I do not know maybe no more than five bucks one way.
Go to the International District/Chinatown Light Rail station (underground), take the light rail or any underground bus to Westlake Station and take the elevated Monorail from the Westlake Center.
You would have to call the ticket office.
Stuff like small 'bus' lockers but nothing special.
Be there 1/2 hour to 45 min. before your departure and check your luggage.
