I've loved living at Collins on Pine! The staff is super friendly and maintenance is very responsive and helpful. There's usually someone in the office or up the street at Vox (where the mini gym is). The building itself is very secure and easy to buzz friends in using the call box. I never heard our neighbors, but I was on the top floor and wouldn't have heard people above me. Apartments are like new and the finishing are all in excellent quality. A few little things I found wonderful were the upgraded washer and dryer (not the standard white boxes you see in some places), floor to ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings on the 6th floor apartments, and gas burners. The rooftop is very nice and is nearly almost empty. The gym at Vox is small, but it's nearly always empty and has everything I'd ever need. I'd live here again in a heartbeat. I only moved out since my roommate decided not to resign due to COVID. Thanks for a wonderful apartment!

Living there was okay, they tell you that it's soundproof walls but you can hear your neighbors conversation at anytime. Let's talk about management- I have NEVER been more mistreated and disrespected by a company then Essex. I was living there for over a year and a half, moved out and was coming in to do a final walk-through and pay the difference of my lease break. I made an appointment but I could not make it in- my tire was flat. I called to let them know and it was no problem. I then scheduled the final walk-through the following day at 9:30 A.M.I had the displeasure of meeting Stachio- he must be all of 25, he kept calling me dude, he tried to make me pay more money in rent when I had legal documentation stating what I had to pay, completely ignored me while I was showing him the document. He then made me feel like it was my fault that I wasn't paying the higher amount and was bashing on Bella- the other manager that works there- stating that it was her fault and that if there were any problems that accounting will most definitely be calling me. I hand him my keys and my check and ask when we are doing the walk-through. He tells me "I would have had to make an appointment for that" so I walk out feeling extremely uneasy, get back into my car and immediately call back telling him I feel uncomfortable handing him my keys and not doing a final walk-through. He interrupts me saying "listen you came in here throwing money and keys at me and I had no idea what for" knowing that I had an appointment that day for this SPECIFIC reason. He continues "if you really want a walk-through, come back in and we can do that." The front door is locked so You push 001 to call the office to let you in- he did not answer, so I called the phone number from my cell, still no answer. I could see him, he was just ignoring me. I waited for someone who lives there to let me in. It took all of 5 minutes to do the walk through but it was like pulling teeth. SO unprofessional. I have never been treated like this. I DO NOT recommend this place. Shame on you Essex and Collins on Pine for having someone like Stachio to be representing your company.

Leasing office states they should be there between 9 am to 6pm and they are never there.
