Of all the places to have such a terrible Mental Health Clinic, Seattle gets the worst? Incredible. Dr. David Pressman has been involved here for the decade that I've received care from this clinic. He has continually ignored the many ways in which he could make the changes he's responsible for here. He needs to be removed.

I retired in 2015 and began using the Seattle VA campus since. Other than a couple of rude staff (non-medical) in Radiology I have had impeccable care! The medical staff have treated me with the utmost courtesy, professionalism, honesty and compassion than I ever received from private health care. Kudos to all the medical staff (and being a cancer patient) I have been to almost every department there. Thank you Seattle VA for taking such great care of me. This is my experience.

I have been waiting for over a month to have my onboarding appointment and these people have not even set it up yet. Without that appointment I cannot get care for my back injury, my mental health, or my diabetes. This is completely unacceptable and I can only think that they are hoping that I die before they have to get around to seeing me.

I would give zero stars if I could. WORST HOSPITAL YOU CAN GO TO. Do not waste your time at this Medical Center. It is worth it to go to a place and have to pay out of pocket, you will actually get answers at any other ER than this one. This ER has staff that are rude, take short cuts, and are not urgent with patient care. My husband has sciatica and was put in a patient room by himself for an entire hour. He was in a wheelchair and had a sling on, and zero nurses accommodated him. They instead left him in a room for an hour with zero help. No nurses checked in to see how they could help assist him on the bed, when they knew how severe his pain was. They had the sheet even with the reason for his visit. Instead, they stood right outside the hallway and laughed and talked amongst themselves. The nurse also was very short and rude to my husband. I had to call the front desk and speak to a nurse just so they could do their job and help him. They finally went to see him after I called. But to no surprise, they did not solve the issue. They made him sit in a wheelchair for an additional hour, uncomfortable and in pain, just to wait for them to give us Icy Hot (which we could just buy at any store). They took the easy way out... it’s not their health so why would they care? As a soon to be nursing student, I feel disgusted to know that this behavior is allowed amongst our veterans. Our veterans deserve prompt and kind care. Do not waste your time here.

What is the phone number of va Hosptial
I had a CT Scan on 4 Nov. 2020 at 3:30 pm. (Joseph R Wolf 0001)The person doing the scan did the best he could but I feel he needs more training on how to put a needle into the patients arm to get the solution going. I closed my eyes so as not to watch. I felt two efforts. The second effort hurt like hell. My eyes flew open. The guy said he would have to use the other arm, my right. I told him NO you will never find it there. I had to show him where the major vien was in my left arm. A drug user is better with a needle than he is. Trust me I know. He stuck me twice and went straight in and through. Once into my tendon. Now I have a toothache pain up my arm to my shoulder. Retrain that guy because Vets do not deserve to have to go through what I did.
Sometimes written communication gives you an advantage through a reference number.

Yes, I would call the main #, hit 0 (I think) for the operator and ask to be connected but also ask for the direct #.
It is very safe and they do have a cafeteria inside on the ground level
There's a help desk.
Website
Just show up with valid I.d and va card
Pugit sound is 7-5 and always has walk-ins. You may have to wait 2 or 3 hours but I've always been treated well.
Yes, you can! You can deliver it directly during visitor hours now (11am to 8pm) after screening for COVID symptoms at the front entrance, or you can ask one of our volunteers to help you get the mail to the veteran! The volunteers wear red vests and are also at the front entrance. Thanks for bringing the mail!
Check out their website or call the hospital and they'll transfer you to HR.
Have to have symptoms. Otherwise you need to get your primary care provider to request one for you.
As far as the Seattle VA goes it is now part of the Washington State University so it is a teaching hospital for medical procedures. Certain VA hospitals have expertise in different areas. Seattle VA is the one where all va's will send you for cancer Portland Oregon VA is where they send you to get your pacemaker or a heart operation. So the VA is a decent hospital you get good health care I imagine it's like all healthcare some people like the VA some people don't like the VA.
8am
Talk to a social worker. They could help you
Barbara, while this isn't the largest location they have many items clothing, food stuff and snacks, electronics, small gift items and others. Also you can pick out your new glasses frames while inside of the store.
What are DBQs? Access the form online through VA's website and download it Have your private doctor or healthcare provider complete the form; Review their findings and save a copy for your records; and. Submit the form to VA. https://cck-law.com/blog/disability-benefits-questionnaires-dbqs-evidence-for-your-va-disability-claim/
I was allowed to bring my own clothes. They will put you in scrubs if you don't have your own. They have toiletries for you, recreational hobby supplies, tv, books, phone, and amazing food. Best wishes my brother, proud of you. It's a first class facility.
Hotels, motels are near by
Yes
You need to fill out a form 22-21 to transfer primary care to Seattle VA
For what, exactly?
Also call the ATC in BLDG 101. I highly recommend A treatment facility called Free by the Sea. They have sponsorships available and is the best in Washington State. They will drive anywhere to pick you up.
Clyde..Are you a Veteran? If so thank you for your service. The VA calls then Rollaters, I call them walkers. Anyone who is a veteran can get seen at the VA. If you have a disability rating you might not need to pay a co-pay. Primary care is inside the main hospital and up the elevator directly across from the volunteers. The Volunteers can more than likely help you find where you need to go. To get a up walker, they keep those in physical therapy. I believe you need to have to get a referral to physical therapy in order to get one and you get that through your primary care doctor they will assign to you.
Last I heard, VA doctor can rewrite it IF they agree and it's on approved list... https://www.pbm.va.gov/apps/VANationalFormulary/
I believe it's 08:00
They are currently offered by appointment with your doctor. As of 15-19 and 22-26 Oct 2018 there will be a walk in at the Seattle campus in the Veterans lobby and drive thru at the American Lake campus. You can also go to Walgreens at any time.
The VA doesn't have a prescription fax system.
I believe if you're more than 30 miles away from the nearest VA facility, you can go to any ER/hospital, anywhere. Just present appropriate I.D and that facility will/should take of all paperwork.
Yes they have a home oxygen program. Sign up and see a primary care provider for a referral.
Talk to your Patient Advocate. There are 4 of them at the Seattle VA in the Veterans Pathway. A patient advocate can help you get a new doctor.
Call your PCP for an appointment to be seen for your hip. They'll make an appointment to see you and they'll set up for you to be evaluated by the proper department.
Very spotty connection from my experience. I usually walk around to find the best area to connect to my T-Mobile when I'm there for long periods. As for actual VA WIFI I've had no luck.
I am not sure but they should have. They have the healthcare in the area. Give them call to find out.
Don't know the veterans association paid for it. Was there for a double lung transplant thank God for them
FMLA documents should be signed by the Patient's Doctor. This is what I learned, either it's for intermittent and continuous leave, make sure the signing Doctor should state "5 days in a week / 8 hours per day". That covers you for being absent any day of the weeek, or 5 continous day in a week.
Wholeheartedly agree with previous answers, there is a full-functioning e/r that is attached to a complete hospital that is also full-service. Unfortunately no urgent care, so be prepared to wait -- just like any e/r.
Yes they do, mine was through respiratory.
Given the traffic, I suggest that you find a place where you don't have to travel on the freeways. Georgetown is good. Kent and Tukwila would be my second choice. If you are a family member, Fisher House is terrific.
You have to call the main hospital and get transferred most the time, that's how I normally get a hold of people there.
