I have lived in mini apartments and none have made me feel at home as much as this place. You can attribute that to the great location and ease of access to many amenities, but more importantly, you can attribute it to the professional and caring staff. I have felt incredibly welcome since I have moved in and just happily renewed my lease. Eddie and Aaron have always gone above and beyond. There is nothing negative that I can say about the team that runs this apartment complex. I highly recommend it as my family, both humans and pets have enjoyed our time here so far.

Overall I had a very negative experience with this complex and its staff, specifically Eddie and Melissa. Marq West is a very noisy complex. After 4 years, I left my apartment in downtown Seattle in hopes of finding a quieter place to live. Marq West ended up being worse. The complex is a few blocks away from a fire station so you will hear sirens multiple times throughout the day. The community is riddled with poorly trained dogs that provide a constant stream of noise in the evening. And if you are not on the top floor of the building you will hear your upstairs neighbor walk around, open doors, close cabinets, and flush their toilets. When I moved into this building, I made it very clear that I was looking for a quieter place to live. I ended up moving into an apartment where the two previous tenants had left because of noise from their upstairs neighbours. When I first brought the noise level up with the staff I was told there had been no previous complaints (a bold faced lie) and that this was expected "apartment noise". To paint a better picture, there was constant screaming, running, and jumping in the unit above me all hours of the day that would cause my apartment to shake. Weeks later, after a few more noise complaints, I was told that the past two tenants left or transferred to a different unit because of the noise. After submitting enough noise complaints and the staff doing nothing about it I was accused of being discriminatory and that the level of noise was normal. Just to be very clear, the noise level that caused two (now three) tenants to leave was considered "normal apartment noise" by the staff. If you have any difficult questions for the staff at this complex (canceling a lease, transferring to a different unit, submitting a noise complaint) don't expect a useful response. Given all of the 5 star reviews for the place I had hoped for more. The only saving grace of this building is that the apartment furnishings are pretty decent, it's located next to a bus stop that goes downtown, and the maintenance crew were friendly and helpful.

I think the Marq would be a great place to live. Eddie the Leasing Manager was very informative to all my questions. I definitely would rent there, if a unit becomes available. It’s a fairly large large complex, but it has a small, comfy, feel to it. The property was very clean, I was impressed.

Best apartment building I’ve lived in! The staff has always been super helpful and responsive with anything I reached out about. I moved to be closer to work but seriously considering coming back once my lease is up since the management team seems to build a great sense of community here.
