They can't. You'd have to establish care with your local VA and a VA doctor would need to prescribe whatever meds they deem appropriate. With my own experience, I brought my list of meds and recent chart notes from my private doc and my new VA doc was completely accommodating. *They also weaned or changed any meds necessary.

They can send it to the VA pharmacy it has to go to your primary doctor in the VA, if they approve it they will put it in for you.

Call the Primary Care and speak to a nurse from your provider. You can ask them to send it to an pharmacy for you.
