It's a very small parcel of land with only a port-a-let next to the parking lot. Although there was a guide present, there are also a number of historical Plaques and posters with information.

We had a family photo shoot at the battle park. The ladies that were running the tours were very friendly. Great place to learn a little history and a great place for photography. Photo was taken by Nancy Roby-Steen

They just had the old Capital days last weekend and reinactments. I don't think there was an interpreter there. I would suggest you call the Harrison County Forestry office and ask if they have an interpreter for any of their areas or events.

I think the sign says park is closed at 6pm. On the weekends, there are usually people at the cabin and can tell you the stories about the civil war. And about the cabin and here it came from.
