The fall colors were beautiful. The fishing non-existent. The water is way down due to drought. Only bites coming from the pool at the bottom of the spillway.

The lake is beautiful 😍 Great trails for walking, running, or biking. Playground for the kiddos too

This was my 1st visit to Simpson Park and I can confidently say it will not be my last! The grounds are well maintained and the lake is a absolutely beautiful.

Nope
No
It opens at 7:am
Not buffalo fish but other fish are safe
Not when I was there.
There is not a camp site.
Saint Louis county parks website States that Simpson is closed and will not reopen until the river levels drop
A lot of it is pretty shallow, you'd wanna go slower. Trolling motor only last time I saw.
Call for a ranger before you head there. No one's usually already available at the park
Caught large mouth and crappie
I've never seen any kayak rentals there either. They're also available at St. Peters 370 lakeside park.
