It’s sad that nobody wants to answer their phones when it comes to either new drivers or recent drivers who want to either get a drivers license or renew their license

Awful and very unprofessional staff. We drove from Fernley on Wednesday to find the office unexpectedly closed. We tried, again, on Friday and they weren't taking anymore numbers. We wait a week, come in hours before they close and they still aren't taking anymore customers. I guess your best bet is to get there right when they open and pray. You can't reach anyone by phone either. Do better or offer more services online.

Very friendly staff, and always helpful

We're going to be offering online license renewals within just a few weeks. Keep an eye on this page. You can sign up for a MyDMV account now. https://dmvnv.com/dlrenewal.htm
Visit the DMVNV.COM website and search 'real id'
Nope, you have to go in as you no longer have plates. Take all your info with you, its usually a quick trip.
Yes, a valid passport is acceptable. Any valid driver's license or state ID is acceptable until May 3, 2023.
Fallon is walk-in only.
Yes you can but I don't know if they moved location yet
John Prosser when you go to register another vehicle DMV will apply it towards your new registration.
No credit.... your registration is good in any town any state as long as its current. Moving from one town to another a has no barrier on your registration.
If you come to the office in person, you don't need the releases. You only need those to renew by mail.
At fallon office walk in only bring food & drink I was a hour & 45min. Waiting
You need a smog check if you live in Reno. We encourage you to make an appointment at the Reno office. You may drive all the way to Fallon and wait for hours or be turned away if it is too late in the day.
Yes, you can still file the tribal exemption if you're late. The amount of the late fees depends on the amount of your registration. You have to pay all of the past-due fees plus penalties, which will be pretty small if you're only a week late.
There was several people that had appts. mostly for the driving test. I just walked in and picked a number and waited til it was my turn..I was there for about an hour and a 1/2, but once I got up to the counter it took about 5 minutes to get a new title. I needed my new title ASAP and they did a Fed-Ex overnight and it costs $68. I ordered my new title on Monday and recieved it on Wednesday...the best $68 I've ever spent. I was impressed and shocked on how fast they got my new title to me... It usually takes longer then expected...THANK YOU FALLON DMV...YOU GUYS ROCK!!
You will have to call them and ask. Plz let them know you are from Reno. I don't know why residency would matter as it's a fed dept, but better safe than sorry. Hope this helps.
You need to have insurance to drive any car on a public street. You can show the title at the DMV to get a movement permit.
If you have a copy of it with all the information, you can apply online through MyDMV.
The Fallon office is walk-in only for most services. You can just ask for a handbook. If you need a driving test, you need to have a valid instruction permit and schedule it online. https://dmvapp.nv.gov/DMV/DL/DriveTestSchedulerPublic/DriveTest_Input.aspx
The one in fallon during weekdays 10 til 4 not bad!!
Yes. Fully open. Grab a number and sit in the lobby. Don't forget your mask!
NO
Yes, you can go to Fallon.
Wait for the sticker until your movement permit or placard expires. It should be just a few days. If you still don't get it, put the plates on the car and carry the receipt or printout of the original transaction to show to law enforcement.
The Fallon office is walk-in only,
The office has mail slots in the door you could use or just give to a staff member during normal hours. You could also mail them to: DMV 555 Wright Way Carson City, NV 89711
No, the customer must register the car in person. https://dmvnv.com/regoutofstate.htm
Fill out a non-op on the car your not going to drive. Good luck.
You can send an email to ask for the status of the mailing. https://dmvnv.com/contact_us.asp You can also print a driver history to show you have a valid license, though there is no guarantee that anyone will accept it. https://dmvapp.nv.gov/dmv/dl/OL_DH/Drvr_Usr_Info.aspx Please note the post office will return a license if the carrier doesn't know you live there. Have you received other mail there? Also, licenses are not forwarded.
I use the DMV online app to renew my driver's license and registration
Visit the office. If you have a drive test already scheduled, you don't really need to renew the permit. He can take the test with an expired permit, but not drive anywhere else.
DMV website will tell you what is needed. But I am pretty sure you will need your social, birth certificate, and proof of address.
Yes. Make sure to check the dmvnv.com website for all docs needed to complete both transactions. Prefilled any docs beforehand , but DON'T sign them until your in front of the personnel.
You have to have a valid instruction permit to schedule a driving skills test. If it's expired, you have to visit the office to schedule the test.
If you bought the car from a Nevada dealer, you can transfer them and register the car online. https://dmvapp.nv.gov/dmv/vr/edrs_online_reg/vehreginit.aspx You can mail or bring them in. https://dmvnv.com/platesurrender.htm
Its open Monday to Friday but I suggest you show up early like 7 am ,they open at 8 am ,I did my registration las Monday ,on fallon
Ramona Campbell they are only renewing licenses if they are expired. Recommend getting there around 6:30 am and wait. Youll be there in and out when the open
No but you do need to be a resident of Fallon or the surrounding area. The office will turn away residents from Reno or Carson City.
You have to go to an office for new license plates. You can get the decal and registration slip only from a kiosk. https://dmvnv.com/plateslost.htm
You should cancel the registration online through MyDMV. You can destroy the plates rather than return them. dmvnv.com Some offices may accept walk-ins, some may not.
Yes, it is located in the shopping center by the wells Fargo bank.
No you don't have to, but if people do have an appointment u will have to wait
You have to Return them to the dmv.
A license with the star will get you to fly its the new license
I do not believe so. I believe the minimum age is 18 to be legal owner. Insurance will be cheaper on a family policy for him than to be on his own policy.
If you are male; birth certificate or adoption paperwork, Social Security card, proof of current address (es) [If your mailing address is different than your home address], your driver's license from the other state. If you are female; all of the above + proof of how you got from maiden name to current name (for me, that meant 2 marriage licences.
Yes
With any DMV assume you need everything including official birth certificate, social security card, and 2 proofs of residence. They made me come back 3 times just to get a driver's license.
I think he/she has to have mail coming to that address regularly but not sure
The DMV is open Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas day.
Just the written... if you have not received a traffic violation or any accident you may not have to even take the written.
How can I get my password sent to my email without putting in date issued?
You can try. I'm not to for sure. Worse thing that can happen is you get a no.
You own the plates you can take them with you..if you ever return to Nevada you can register the plates again to current registration. You can turn them in..if you don't you'll get a letter from the DMV when your registration is due or when your insurance has lapsed in Nevada asking you to turn in the plates or check the box saying moved out of state no big deal either way works
Not sure for that engine size but you may require some form of insurance and registration to ride on public roads.
You have to sign a paper promising you will maintain auto insurance so I don't believe so.
First off is a Nevada license? If so; all you need to do is request a duplicate and bring your birth certificate it wouldn't hurt. If its not a Nevada issued license, than yes you would need your birth certificate and I believe one other form of ID.
Yes you can however; she has to have had her drivers permit and have had all her driving hours so many day time and so many night time n than she can schedule an appointment for the driving test...good luck to your daughter.
Yes you absolutely can
If you already have one in the system and just need a duplicate one. You need money for the fee and to fill out a yellow form. Thats it. All ID cards have a expiration.
If the vehicle is yours or will be yours.....yes you need to provide proof of insurance for any registration of a vehicle. I hope this helps you.
I don't believe so.... anything extra has to be done through a DMV customer service rep
As far as I know you pay all fees upfront.
If you don't have to take a written or a driving test you should be able to reapply online for it
The test machine has audio
Yes you do...
No..The buyer has to have the title plus a Bill of Sales to be able to register it. I hope that helps you.
There is no number to jump in line you can see the wait times online and must go in to add your number to the queue
