Even though it was 98° outside, we had a great time. I took my grandkids (ages 5, 7 & 12) and did the drive around the park plus visited all the animals that are not free roaming all for one price. They are getting ready to start using an electric tram so there isn't one running right now. You have several options on how to see the animals. I bought a ticket that allowed me to do a guided driving tour of the free range animals. We all really enjoyed it. We stopped at the cafe for some ice cream to cool down, too. We will be going back in the spring to see the baby animals. Great place, highly recommended!

90 bucks a bit steep for 2 kid 1 adult to drive through park, however, all the animals were out and we all had an amazing time. Car ticket also gets you into the park for the self guided walking tour of all the exhibits. It was raining like mad but everything was out and playing as a result. Huckleberry and Hawthorne the 4 yr old grizzly bears were amazing to stand and watch. Being no more than 20 ft from two 600lb animals that are spashing around in a pond is amazing.

This place was a lot of fun. We were on the Sunday, 10:00 am driving tour. The only thing we did not see was the moose. The walking area is great too, many animals to see. They have a kids play area that is pretty nice too. The staff were very knowledgeable about the animals.

I take my family here almost every other weekend. We have the family yearly pass. Great place to bring your kids and parents. Amazing staff and beautiful zoo animals. Walking is a plus if your in the need to get a little exercise in. I haven’t done the safari yet, but I’ll update soon as I do it. The bears, wolves, and sea otters are my sons favorite animals to go see. Never a dull moment. The gift shop is close by to the entrance and they offer lots of things you may or may not need. The food court is down due to Covid-19, so your pretty much left with eating before or after your visit. Masks are required but half the people either wear their mask or don’t. Never a big deal here anyways. The zoo is very clean and has a beautiful nature like atmosphere. Tall Cedar trees and other attractive plant life. I highly recommend this zoo for the family.

Yes you can. They have picnic tables you can sit at. We even brought in cupcakes last year and had my sons birthday party. He had a blast.
At minimum you can run thru the park and do the tram in about 2hrs, but i highly recommend that you just plan on all day....relax, enjoy nature and don't be in a rush when you go, take your time to enjoy the park....plus if you have kids with you they will want to play for a long while at the new playground....plan on at least 4 maybe 6 hrs optimally..

A limited number of wheelchairs ($8.00) & electric carts (25$) are available.
Pretty good. They have one way trails and outdoor gift shop with plenty of room for distancing
I didn't think there was a zip line. But I have not been there for awhile.
They have regular lines for buying tickets and another one for picking up your online tickets and one where you can scan it from your phone.
Maybe take a cellphone picture of the order confirmation
This is washington its always going to rain just means you get to see the animals in a more natural environment
Hello there, that's a tricky one. I would try something like a doggy day care online close to where you going to be, the thing is Northwest Trek is out there a bit. Gotta be able to trust someone with your dog, would be tough for your Pug. I'm sorry I'm not sure? Good luck partner.
Yes all trails r nicely paved
Dogs are not allowed into the trek
There is a zip line course. It also has other obstacles. There are three different courses available not counting the childs course.
If they do im sure they cost at least $50
They are only strict about food on the tram.
No. There is a tram that takes you through a big open area that is included with your admittance. The rest you walk through.
Yes there is bus parking. Follow the signs for bus parking. If you know how many tickets you need in advance you can call the office and schedule your group's arrival ahead of time.
You can bring bring food to the trek and enjoy plenty of picnic spaces but any bbqers regardless of gas charcoal or electric are prohibited within the trek. So a long as it's a premade bbq your good, but no cooking on the grounds.....
Yes they are open.

Try to get there at opening. We have a season pass and go about once a week. So many animals are out and about at that time. It's quiet and peaceful.
No, only service dogs are allowed.
Some parts can.. there are gravel area that you can park in.
Online only for now. It's so they can space the visitors out as much as possible
Yes! Please check out their website for more recent info
Please keep in mind at this point (Summer 2020) the park is just a drive-thru experience, and requires advanced reservations.
NW trek is part of the Tacoma metro park system. Most City, county and state parks allow CC with permit and I didn't see any signage saying otherwise at the entrance
There are windows and a roof but they take the panes out in the summer.
Yes, they have a small grill/ cafe with burgers, fries and sandwiches. ... You are also allowed to bring your lunch, snacks and refillable water bottles. They have water fountains with refillable water stations, and a great tented area with picnic tables.
25 dollars at the gate, 23 dollars at the gate if you're a Pierce County resident and 22 dollars online.
I had it in a bag the whole time and that was fine but no eating
https://www.nwtrek.org/visit/prices/
I believe the tickets cover the day....
Any credit, debit, or cash will work, you can also pay online
Call them and or look on their website!
No. If you are having a group, a party of wedding event, then yes, but just for a typical family visit no reservations are necessary. The earlier you can arrive, the better. Typically it's not busy at 1030, and the first tram departs at 1130.. a good time to see animals before it's a hot part of the day.
No, the tram ride is included in the price of admission. They do issue a ticket for a specific tram departure time, so make sure to pick up your tram ticket when purchasing your admission to the park.
Unfortunately, emotional support animals do not qualify as service animals according to their website.
Double jogger would be fine
Included with the price of admission is access to the discovery center, children's play park, walking trails, tram ride, all animal exhibits, and parking. Food is allowed in the park and they have lots of picnic tables near the entrance. Available with extra fees is souvenirs, food, stroller and wheelchair rentals, zip wild, and keeper and photo tours.
Yeah it's in the inside of the park it's pretty big lots of fun for older kids and younger kids in the summer months it has water running through it so it's pretty dope my kids love it
There were a lot of deer that walked along the tram and plenty of Buffalo. It definitely depends on time of year as I also saw a lot of migratory birds and owls.
All of the prices are on the site. Depends if you get the tickets online or at the gate. https://www.nwtrek.org/visit/prices/
Here's their hours schedule: https://www.nwtrek.org/visit/hours/
Free for all military (active/veterans/retired) and 50% off dependents on Veterans Day weekend. Normal pricing (rest of year) has discount for all militaty but not free.
Never
Probably not, though allowing online buyers to book tram/bus ride times might. Scheduling the riding tour is the main bottleneck.
I think they said the end of September
You can if you have your receipt.
Its a walk through park, with a tram ride. It is fun to go to for the day.
As others mentioned NW Trek is not a national park, it is however quite close to Ranier National park, which is well worth a visit.

No, but Olympic Game Farm park is a drive thru zoo.
Yes, there is parking for strollers at the tram pickup spot.
The only discounts are for county residents, militarily and senior. (Be sure to bring I.D. as proof)
Come early to ensure a spot. It will get busy.
Generally 10-30 mins depending on where you are in the line. For the most part it's shaded in that area especially later in the day.
No, tram ride is included with the price of the tickets for the park.
I think it's advertised for 45 minutes. So probably around 40ish
Car seats are not allowed on the Tram, there is no where to secure it anyway. It runs slow enough that it's not necessary anyway. Just hold your little one and they will be fine. Side note, there is stroller parking at the tram loading site, and you will need that stroller for the rest of the park....
There's different prices. There's small courses for kids, and adult courses. Think it starts around $25 ish and goes up from there. Plus the admission to the park.
1 adult tickets ($23), g3ts you 4 kids under 12 y/o in free.
I haven't heard anything about that, it might be on their website.
Try calling.
School id or local id will work.enjoy!
PAWS or Sarvey Wildlife Rescue would be good to contact.
Yes, parking only no hookups.
