I have lived at University Crossings for almost a year now and I have had an overall pleasurable experience here. Although I had a rocky start to my stay here due to other tenants smoking which made my apartment smell a little odd, it has gotten much better. Whenever I have a maintenance problem, they are always quick to come and fix it. They also do routine maintenance work which included a detailed notice of when they would be entering. Also, the work has been quick and effective. I really enjoy the layout of my apartment (2 bed/2 bath A). It has a large island in the kitchen, a large pantry, so much cabinet space, and a lot of drawers to hold everything. Each room has 2 large windows that let in a lot of natural light which is great for wintertime. Finally, I really enjoy the amount of space I have in my bedroom and closet. The amenities are very nice and well-kept. The pool is not too big but not too small and faces only a small stretch of apartments, so I have rarely heard any pool-party activities. The gym is nice but if you want to lift heavier weights I suggest going to the University Recreation Center where they have more machines. I live near a place where there is a lot of foot traffic which can be noisy at times, but I have learned to get used to it and it has never woken me up or been a serious distraction during studying, Zoom class, or remote working. I feel relatively safe on the premises, especially since there is a gate in the front and back of the complex and I see security guards walking the area almost very night, especially on weekends. One thing I wish they would fix would be the gate for the parking deck. It hasn't been working for quite sometime and gives anyone access to deck. My roommate got her catalytic converter stolen a few months ago and this is probably the reason why. When this did happen, the office sent out a notice to everyone saying what happened and I have noticed the security going through the parking deck as well. The office staff have always been super nice and I have never had an issue with them. I have never had a pest problem, and maintenance washes the concrete hallways often to keep everything clean. In general, I have had a relatively good experience here due to the office being responsive, maintenance being timely and efficient, and security doing their jobs. Every time people have been overly loud due to being drunk or partying, I have called security and it has been taken care of. I have used the resources provided to residents during the times the office is not open. I think the best parts of the apartments is that they are large, have nice amenities and are fairly priced compared to other complexes around University City Blvd. I also feel relatively safe on the property. The worst thing would be that they have not fixed the gate into the garage which means anyone can just walk in. I gave this four stars not because University Crossings has little faults, but because the office, maintenance, and security have always tried their best to accommodate and be active during situations of discomfort which is much more impressive in my opinion.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! If you want a quality home do not live here. If you want a clean home do not live here. If you want competent staff do not live here. It is consistently unclean. Security gates never work so it is very unsafe. Half the “amenities” never work. They will boot your car over any little thing. I repeat DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!

All of the reviews higher than one or two stars are obviously staff or paid reviews. Do not trust them. I lived here for 2 years and they are KNOWN to exploit students. I was charged for not turning in a parking tag and a parking decal when I never had parking nor a car in the first place. They are now trying to get more money now 5 months after my roommate and I moved out. If anything else happens we WILL be seeking legal action. This is ridiculous. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

If I could give this place zero stars I would solely because of the attitude of the staff members. Such as KENNY, Anna, and Victoria. Asia, Hailey, and Mary Kate are the only staff members who have treated us with respect. Whoever is in charge of the hiring process needs to find people who know how to treat their residents with respect and common decency because it reflects badly on your entire apartment complex as a whole. I hope you reconsider who you choose to represent the face of your company.

Hey! I'm looking to move out and I will be a student at UNC Charlotte but my boyfriend will not be. Will that be an issue? Also, would a crate trained German Shepherd be allowed? He's about 1 year old now.
