It used to be a nice place to live but ever since covid started it's been bad. There's barely any maintenance. I paid for my own air filter because they were on back order. I just paid for my own ball catcher's for my closet doors because they weren't fixed the last time I put in a work order. We constantly get emails about all work orders being canceled due to unforseen circumstances and emails telling us what we can and can't due but they raise the rent the state maximum. How can you raise the rent 5% each year but can't even do basic maintenance?

There seems to be some awful management problems lately. Of course the tenants are the losers. Everything that doesn’t get done gets attributed to covid. Sadly over the years services have decreased, management is unavailable. I understand covid, but there’s no excuse to not give back what they’ve taken away during the height of the pandemic at this time. Like access. Like being able to meet with the property manager who is on site via some form of communication. Tenants aren’t even allowed to knock on the managers door. Or face getting written up. Leading to eviction. Good luck with that eviction. Tenants are scared. No one wants to lose their home so they go without. Owners of the building are unavailable to mediate. So begins the decline. Covid became the great excuse to take advantage and cut corners. I see it all over. Willows is no different sadly.

Going on 3 years here, I was literally the first one to get keys here and it has mostly been positive. The apartments are very nice, especially for the price. The trail, park and small gym are a nice touch too. In recent months management has been an issue though, there will be constant emails sent out to you about what is not acceptable around the community like a principle instructing students. I had an extremely frustrating experience recently too where my holiday decorations (that were passed down to me from a deceased grandparent years ago) outside of my door were disposed of by staff without my knowledge or consent without even warning me to remove them. When I confronted staff I was told it was a violation of my lease even though I had put the same decorations out 2 years in a row prior with no issues, then told it was considered a lease infraction of storing property in the breeze way and I should refer to an email that was sent out in May to know better not to put them out. I feel like the restrictions are unreasonable and unprofessionally enforced. I feel as if I am being reprimanded like a child instead of being treated as a tenant or a client that dishes out thousands of dollars a year to live here. If you can get past that the place is not bad to live in.
